I’m enjoying your videos and learning a lot. I got my eyes on a recently burned out forest, near Park City, Utah. Hopefully, it’ll produce some morels, next season. I appreciate it, man. Keep em coming! 👍🏼🍻🍄

Again, good job. Got a shaggy parasol today, My favorite. Looks like the good times have started. Just a heads up, I am in the Puyallup area and we get tons of Jack-o’lanterns every year. They should pop up any day now. I would bet on the next rain for sure.
@mushroomwonderland13 жыл бұрын
Really? Cool, that is what they are that's pretty unique. I have heard they do grow occasionally around here but pretty rare. They would be really fun to photograph with long exposure at night, they have bioluminescence and kind of glow at night hence the name Jack o'lantern!

Thanks for all of these videos and great information. Do you know if chanterelles grow in timber company tree farms or dies the clear-cutting destroy the mycelium? Thanks again.

He says in the video that clear cuts do have to grow back until they’re big enough to produce again, but he doesn’t say how big.

Last week I just (randomly) saw a YT'er find Chanterelles (unrelated to his video) and thought how cool! Today, mowing my lawn, I found Chanterelles near my Oaks! That's even cooler! I don't know anything about mushrooms but mine are just like yours, color, shape, wavey margins, decurrent veins, stem peels like cheese, stem is white in the center.... still not going to eat them - too scared. ha ha ha
@mushroomwonderland14 ай бұрын
@@mondavou9408 oh come on, live a little! Sounds like you got some winners. Maybe try looking at their look-alikes and compare them, maybe that'll make you feel better. Chanterelle's are a pretty safe bet to start with.

I agree with Hilliard foraging wild edibles is all about the hunt and finding them on your own is so rewarding. Telling the whole internet exactly where your hard earned spots are is ridiculous and taking away from the experience.

You sound very much silly this world is huge for everyone to pick them he can't pick them all dummy smh that's why God place these things for us to injoy not just one person it's called spreading love thinking of others you dork get lost
@Kittencrunchies3 жыл бұрын
Rude. The whole internet doesn’t live where he lives. So that point is moot. Also, he can’t pick ALL the mushrooms, so why not let someone else pick some too? 😒

Ill give you a like but we only follow one. Olso i think showing what a false one looks like can be educational. If you cut a false Chantelle it will be hollowed in the stem.
