I think the Frontiers plan should be ranked higher because as a certain tortoise said, “there are no accidents” and the events that happened during the plan resulted in the creation of Sage who is now my favourite supporter of the Eggman Empire (until SEGA ruins her at least, hopefully not). For me it’s when Eggman plays 4D Chess with knowing about the Fake Emerald and luring Sonic back to save Amy and Tails only to entrap him in a capsule and send him out into space, the same way it happened to Shadow during Maria’s death, SA2 is such a deep game man.

Taking revenge on everyone... and then die right after. That's just wrong!!" I highly suggest you look for the whole confrontation scene in Japanese from episode 38, it's like night and day in comparison to the English dub.

Yep. & iirc, he used at least six of The Chaos Emeralds to create the slow shoes, so that Sonic would be unable to take them off without collecting the emeralds!! This game also takes place concurrently alongside Tails Skypatrol, which is why Sonic isn't in that game/why Tails isn't in Labyrinth.

@@RadikAlice Lets read between the lines a bit better: Dr. Robotnik realized that Sonic was the force standing in the way of world domination, so instead of conquering Sonic's world, he created a machine to transport himself to another dimension. From there, he successfully robotized nearly all of the residents of the Sorcery Saga (Puyo Puyo is a spinoff of this) world, and establish himself as world ruler, even dethroning Satan himself. Robotnik seems to be the only non-robot non-puyo left in the world, with the possible exception of the player. He was, as always, ultimately defeated, this time by an unknown character. But most players will find this is one of, if not the most difficult Sonic game. Yeah. This is legit SSS. We're not just trying and failing to manipulate an evil god here. Straight up replace Satan.

Even though I haven’t watched the video fully (as of the writing of this comment), I’d give Eggman’s plan of torturing Sonic an A or B Tier, as it was a good idea, but it was executed horribly on Sonic Team’s part, as Sonic didn’t look tortured at all, and perfectly fine!

In SA2 Eggman is more of pawn in Shadow's plan rather than the other way around considering Shadow leads him on by telling Eggman about the eclipse cannon and how to activate it and letting Eggman come to is own conclusions by omitting the fact that inserting all 7 emeralds would cause the Ark to fall.

@@thrasher698 Well, there was the part where he tricks Shadow into thinking he's an Android so he can control him, which kinda works... until it causes Shadow to kill him. Is this a non-canon ending? Yes, but he did build the Shadow Androids canonically, so this sort of thing was meant to happen, plus I don't think we know what actually happened before Shadow got all the emeralds in the Last Story. I suppose it is muddled, but at the very least you could just include the Shadow Android plan and deem it a low-tier one.

Slight correction regarding the Heroes summary: The big metal dragon thing is called Metal Overlord, not Neo Metal Sonic. Neo Metal Sonic is the version of Metal that appears in cutscene throughout the game, and is an upgraded form of Metal Sonic, which is why he can now shapeshift and copy the moves and data of Sonic & Co.

Technically he also has a scheme in Shadow The Hedgehog, where he tries to manipulate Shadow into becoming a pawn for him by making him lose his identity with the Shadow Androids, however he isn’t the main antagonist on said game. And in Battle, the Advance and the Rush series too. And he doesn’t really have a scheme in Heroes, but this was cool nonetheless.

You also forgot a mention about sonic 3 and knuckles, specifically the and knuckles part. You see, his story actually takes place after sonic and tails, after they won and left. Eggman, brilliantly might i add, had left robot copies of himself to attempt a take over immediately again, spearheaded by probably the most impressive robot in his arsenal at that time, mecha sonic, a robot that can harness the power of the master emerald to go super, becoming capable of flight, gains speed, and immortality, all for a brief moment. He's one of only 2 capable of doing that, metal sonic being the second, and only way, way later on might i add. Though there, there's seemingly no time limit, or at least a weaker one, showing he improved on it when adding such a feature to metal sonic. It's almost like he took the previous metal copies of sonic and amalgammed them into the metal sonic we know today. Also, in sonic adventure, he actually had his first contingency plan, being a second egg carrier, as he suspected chaos might become insubordinate. Unfortunately he underestimated his strength, but he still thought ahead and expected the betrayal, something he loses until the idw comics again years later. Goes to show, sonic adventure and sonic 3 and knuckles are probably the best showcases of his intelligence ever, even today.

Something to note about the sonic colours plan, at the time of the laser firing sonic and tails had done no damage to the laser themselves and unless I'm forgetting something had no way to destroy or stop it from firing BEFORE it fired (I know Sonic kept shutting down the power supply things in each world but Eggman still got to fire it anyway), if not for the single stroke of coincidence, that absolute bit of luck with the first boss lodging itself in the laser eggman would have actually won, the planet would have been mind controlled, when a plot is only stopped because of coincidence it's an A-S tier plan right there EDIT: Hey i have that movie Eggman jacket too!

His plan in Sonic labyrinth is my favorite of his, stealing his shoes and replacing them with ones that slow him down. It's simple, sure, but it made sense to me due to Sonic's speed usually being his key to victory, and slowing him down would make him an easier target. I know people have pointed out that he could've just killed Sonic in his sleep, but for Eggman, it would've been TOO easy.

I will not lie: I kinda missed the Rush series in this tier list, especially the first game. While it doesn't particularly have the greatest Eggman's evil scheme of all time, it's fair to give credit for someone who messed up different dimensions just to partner with his different own self, collect both the Chaos Emeralds and the gems from the different dimension, Sol Emeralds, and put an end to Sonic and Blaze, AKA the girl from this another world.

Chaos was a chao that became a was released by eggman, and it destroyed a city, Gerald made a deal with black doom and Gerald created the biolizard, both of which tried to destroy the world, and eggman nega revives ifrit a fite monster which destroyed a whole dimension, can get invincible by eating chao oh and can mind control people, nega gets trapped in the dimension ifrit destroyed. There is a pattern here (oh and Gerald briefly studied Ifrit). Oh chaos, devil doom, and Ifrit all have boss fights in destroyed cities.

You got a few of the things in Sonic Heroes mixed up. Neo Metal Sonic is the form he takes throughout the majority of the game, not his final transformation. It was his upgrade into Neo Metal Sonic that set him off on his path to world domination, betraying Eggman and gave him the ability to transform T-1000 style. Metal Sonic's final form in Heroes is called the Metal Overlord.

Others: Sonic Rush: Eggman finds a tear in space-team to another dimension, where Blaze, The Soul Emeralds, and Eggman Nega (😮) go through. He goes after the Soul Emeralds while holding back Sonic & Blaze, only to work with Eggman Nega to knock out Blaze, and take over both Dimensions. But thanks to the Soul Emeralds Blaze Heals to become Burning Blaze, and she & Super Sonic stop both Eggman’s in the Tear. Though it is revealed that Nega is more evil than OG Eggman. Sonic Riders: Eggman seeks to rise Babylon Garden to find its Treasure which he thinks is powerful. To do this he gets Jet and the Babylon Rouges to compete with Team Sonic in the World Grand Prix for the 7 Chaos Emeralds (The Entry Fee). However, Because Cheating is allowed Wave plants a Bomb on Sonic’s Extreme Gear and it explodes just before could the GP in front of the crowd (like everyone would sue Eggman/Wave at that) l. Jet wins and with the power of his cube Babylon Garden rises, only for the cube to be stolen by Eggman. Sonic stops him, but Babylon Rouges try to find the Treasure causing a 7 vs a powerful Genie Battle. The battle was enough time for Eggman to recover, so he Double Gun points Sonic & Jet to give him Treasure. And *They Do It and Let Him Win* only for the Treasure to be a floating Piece of Cloth. Sonic Rush Adventure: Eggman follows Sonic & Tails to Blazes Dimension to find the Jeweled Specter. He gets help from Johnny, Dreadbread, and Eggman Nega, where the first 2 are Robots locating the Specter and Sonic, while Nega plans with him. Johnny and Dreadbeard are defeated but the Specter was exposed to the Eggmans. They take it out of nowhere causing Earthquakes and going underground. Sonic & Blaze stop them because the Eggs were distracted by *MARINE* Mario & Sonic: In the Games with Story Modes Eggman teams up with Bowser to hold the Olympic Games. 2010: Bowser Burns the Snow and Eggman becomes a Star Wars character and forces the Snow Spirits but 1. That’s a lot of Snow and they were stopped anyway. 2012: They use Fog Machines to Fog London and create Foggy Illusions. But when all the Machines are destroyed, they unleash a Backup Super Fog that makes them more Powerful Maryo & Sanic stop them but Bow & Egg were invited to the Olympic Games. 2016: They steal all of Mario & Sonic’s Medals and that’s it I think and they Team Rocket Defeated. 2020: They try to trap Mar & Son in a Video Game, only for all 4 of them 🍄 to get trapped. So Team Good & Evil compete to get the most Gold Medals to escape before the Battery Dies. They escape only for Team Good to win in 100ms. Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: At one Point Eggman joins Sonic’s Party to fight back against the Marauders. However, When the Party begins to set of to the Marauders Home (The Twilight Relam), Eggman can’t go because someone has to open Portal to the Relam. This was bad, because when the Party returns, Eggman took over the world, since the time is slower in the Twilight Relam. It felt like there was no way to prevent this, but they could’ve left most party behind. In Chapters 7-10 only Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Shade do all talking, with the others in Dimension Ship Conversations, and Shadow shoe-horn-in to a Major Cutscene. Sonic Free Riders: Eggman disguises himself as Doc- eruh that’s right King Doc of uhma Toreggmania to hold a World Grand Prix which awards Treasure to lore Team Sonic, Rose, Dark, and Babylon. He then uses Robo’s to copy there data to make the Ultimate Extreme Gear. But he loses and is exposed and Suprise Metal Sonic takes all of his data.

Don't under estimate eggman plan in heroes. He sent the chaotix. Im pretty sure some of the stuff he had them do damaged his own troops enough to help stop metal.

I have an interesting hypothetical/ headcannon, what if the 3 metals specialize in different strengths, Metal Sonic focuses on Speed because he's meant to race Sonic in a Speedway filled with death traps. Mecha Sonic Mk.I (or Silver Sonic or Robo Sonic or Carl, whatever is your headcannon name) focuses on Defense since he often curls up in a spiky ball for most of his attacks. Finally Mecha Sonic Mk.II (or just Mecha Sonic) focuses on Offense, since he can turn super. I'm aware this isn't full proof since Mecha Sonic Mk.II also balls up in a spike ball, but it was just something I thought was interesting & wanted to share.

I'd put Sonic CD o top followed by Sonic Froces. Fucking up the past was a genius plan, trying to lock it in place was genius, having undoing it requiring messing with many different devices was genius and then there's the fact that on a standard playthrough Eggman will likely actually win even if hes defeated in battle, and Sonic generations suggested the bad ending happened, even if Sonic then went back and fixed it. As bad as Sonic Forces was, Eggman successfully seized control of MObius and would have flat out won if Infinite hadn't showboated (which Eggman calls him out on)
