No Tribe in Main is wild tbh

It is and it isn't. The most common types to call with Tribe are Beast and Warrior. Calling Beast could eat your own Goat tokens, and this deck lines up well into Warriors game one anyway. It's worth siding in but I'm not sure you have to main it. The biggest thing you miss out on by not having it is an additional out to BLS, but BLS isn't usually an auto win against this deck like it can be against others.

@@infusionscapi mean, with everyone and their mother running 2-3 spy in the main and side deck currently and most chaos decks running 2 sorcerer, my tribes are almost always calling spellcaster and are usually getting sided out against warriors considering every single monster in their deck outside of mystic swordsman can just come out and run it over with no issue (hurts even more after you discard a light/dark or serp for it and a kycoo comes down right after). if youre calling beast with tribe youre most likely playing a burn matchup and those scapegoats are going to bulk their pandas and desserts to hell and back, so i think the conflicting monster types argument is the least of your problems there. not to mention youre running a deck with thunder dragons and serpent for relatively free pitches for tribe’s effect. i think theres an argument for both sides but tribe is just a great main deck staple in pretty much any deck that isnt burn or OTK/FTK cheese.

i guess you could also be calling beast for your opponents goat tokens, but if youve both got tokens out i cant really imagine why youd use tribe on that to begin with when you can just save it for their thousand-eyes or a bigger issue down the road.

​@jadedblunts All good points. You're not really wrong, but I was also thinking about Earth Aggro. Granted, Tribe usually gets sided out against them too though. And yeah, Spellcaster for Spy does come up a lot, and probably is the thing most missed by not main decking it. That being said, I don't know if Spy is a big enough argument to main the Tribe anyway. It's hard to say.

Chaos turbo became really good when players started maining 2 upstart 2 jar 2 dekoichi (and card destruction sometimes). Alongside the deck thinning plan (spy/thunder dragon) this makes you see more cards than your opponent. This deck looks like a chaos turbo deck but it lacks its most crucial element.

Decree is a lot better than Jar of Greed in the Chaos mirror. You don't need to out-draw them when you can just brick 25% of their deck.

To brick turbo with decree you need : - To draw decree 28% chance - for them to not have an out breaker/mst/rb in response - for them to actually be on an heavy trap version. at least 30% of turbo deck aren't. - to actually draw multiple traps. Not a given even with 9 trap. - and finally to be Game 1 because game 2 good players will side out some trap. This is not reliable. So I don't excpect this deck to have a good matchup against turbo. Or at least not when turbo goes off a little bit. And not when turbo start outdrawing you with the same gameplan.

It's definitely not a losing matchup. It's crazy that we've somehow reached the point in Goat Format that people actually think that Upstart Goblin and Jar of Greed are better cards than Metamorphosis and Royal Decree. Being 2% more likely to draw your Trinity pieces doesn't magically give you a good matchup.

@@GoatDuels I mean, turbo is more straightforward. Goat control is more straightforward. Playing more combo in your deck increase the chance of bricking. I'm not saying this deck is bad per se. There's just no reason IMO why it should have a good matchup against turbo. The rest of the meta ok sure. But turbo I don't see it. You'll brick more often than turbo and go off less often than turbo. But to propose solution I feel like chaos control should be the deck with the best endgame. If I were to play it I would try to force complex gamestate because I know in those I'm better than turbo and goat control (more boss monster). That is the deckbuilding mentality I would have if I were to redesign chaos control.

Thoughts on al win con decks like Library FTK, Empty Jar, or Economics FTK? None have really had any representation at all in tourney. I don't think it's because they are seen as "degenerate"; I think they typically underperform compared to what people have theory crafted in the past. If they were actually good, people would play them to win, especially in tourney. I feel like people just know how to play around them and, while they can still cheese wins, they seem to be subpar compared to playing other decks atm.

Anyone who's played a large sample of matches with or against Library knows it's a very real deck. People would just rather have more close games with a fair deck than subject themselves to the hit or miss nature of FTK. These decks are also a bit worse than they used to be now that 3 Dustshoot + 3 Solemn is fairly common in people's maindecks. If the meta was still a bunch of Detox Goat Control decks, Library would be absolutely broken.

@@GoatDuels Airknight would still be played if that were the case haha. I just don't think those kinds of decks are good enough with the current meta. The decks just can't survive a tournament setting. 1) The surprise factor you get on ladder doesn't exist and people know exactly what you're on/going for so. 2) As you mentioned, Solemn and Dustshoot at 3 each is fairly meta and really hurts these decks. I won't say "never", but the likelihood of that changing is slim to none. That is how GOAT just is now. 3) With how many wins you have to get in a tournament to even make top 8, I just don't see these decks getting the consistency. There are a lot of very talented players in GOAT who very much want to win. The fact that they choose NOT to play these kinds of decks and go with the consistency of something like Chaos Turbo I think speaks volumes about these kinds of decks.

Thousand-eyes restrict obviously, but Dark Balter, fiend skull dragon, Reaper on the nightmare, Ryu-senshi, Dark Blade, Ojama king, and Gatling dragon are the important ones, of the ones you could metamorph yourself (you could snatch steal a level 7 or something tho). there are only Vanilla Level 3/4 Fusions, and Master of Oz is the highest attacking monster Cyber-stein can summon iirc. theres a couple other notable ones, but there are not very many fusions that have effects that are useful by summer of 2005, so honestly theres only like ~10 ish choices to pick and only like 7 are ever going to be summoned, and mostly just TER, and aside from those just pick whichever you think you might summon in niche cases. (Last warrior from another planet is funny if summoned vs Reasoning/Gate)

U probably figured this out by now but there’s no limit to what fusions u can play in goat format. The fusion deck has no size limit like it does today. So u will just play 3 of every legal fusion monster.

Probably it’s not really needed or it’s to expensive for this deck concept. But sure, you can play him instead of the treasure but don’t forget that this deck have already 2 raigeki and didn’t play with night assailant’s. This card is also a big enemy for the own deck. A mindcon, snatch, brain for example could change everything. So probably it’s better to have only one copy in a match 😅
