It feels like nowadays if you don't immediately take the accuser's side and blindly believe them you are seen as a complete asshole. No longer can you just stay neutral (how you usually should) and remind everyone that this person is innocent until proven and we should refrain from completely acting as though the accuser is completely lying or that the the accuser is completely telling the truth and are actually a victim when we have NO evidence. Because let's be honest when it comes to most allegations that have come out during the past several years, it's mostly all he said, she said with little to no evidence. It feels like nowadays innocent until proven guilty is seen as completely problematic while guilty until proven innocent is seen as the most appropriate course of action and that is NOT okay at all.

A lot of people might disagree with me on this but I really hate the internet and especially social media. I don't think any of it is inherently bad but the way it is used and how hiveminded people seem to have become with the influence of social media is just gross. No one thinks for themselves anymore and honestly, I think that even if people had the facts and whatnot to suggest that something like what happens in the industry, like with Ronnie Radke just for example, was incorrect and just a bunch of rumors they still would push the rumors, either out of fear of being ridiculed with him or because people tend to hype up chaos rather than truth more often than not. I also don't think people actually genuinely care about a lot of the topics they say they do. Just a bunch of virtue signaling. Now that anyone can get their 5 seconds of fame with something they post at the right time and right social media platform everyone wants to be seen as a "good human" rather than give their honest opinions and takes because it might be offensive. Lately the truth seems to take a back seat often if it has the potential to even be the least bit offensive. Only reason I even stay on social media lately is to stay connected with EXTREMELY close friends and family. Beyond that I've become far less interested with the internet and social media. And no I don't comment on videos often. Just felt like a good video to put my rant lol.

I saw Oceano a few months ago. I was sad because they wanted to hear the audience ask for an encore but not many people asked for them to come back to the stage which caused them to cut their set short. Adam is amazing and it breaks my heart that not many people were excited for that headlining event so I understand where he's coming from when it comes to the disrespect. Dude was accused, dropped from AW. He then had a second chance in Dealer but all those members left and I’m pretty sure he had a second allegation. First one was thrown out bc of “lack of evidence” and second was supposedly settled outside of court. While he wasn’t proven guilty he wasn’t necessarily proven innocent. Many sexual assault cases are thrown out cause they’re hard to prove, and statistically most don’t even make it to court. You can take the allegations how you will but when people close to him are consistently leaving, that also says something. After everyone left dealer, they all more or less said something about Aiden treating them poorly, turning them against the first guy who left, etc. They didn’t really even mention allegations, just how he treated them so poorly/was awful to work with. Don’t get me wrong, I still bump their first EP but even allegations aside, he has a consistently bad track record.

The problem with this guy though was he wasn’t proven innocent for either accusation (first case thrown out for lack of evidence, most sexual assault claims are hard to prove even if they are true, second one settled outside of court, which could potentially mean being paid hush money). Even allegations aside, when everyone left his second band they all said something more or else about him being hard to be around, him turning people against each other, etc. he doesn’t have a good track record there either which has added fuel to the fire here.

Oceano is truly one of the deathcore OG's and its sad to see them go. They will be missed. I do feel he may have already been burnt out though. To put it into perspective, their album depths which was considered a classic was released in 2009. Which if my math is correct that is 15 friggin years ago. Its a long time. Since that time, they have been through their fare share of lineup changes. In many ways, that alone takes a toll on bands. On the other hand, in the early 2000's there was scene drama, but not to the same extent as there is now. When you have platforms like X ( formerly) twitter , Tik Tok, KZbin, and Instagram where everyone is a keyboard warrior and everyone wants their 10 minutes of fame to farm up drama, it can be exhausting to someone like Adam. Thats my two cents but i will say the drama in the scene is truly toxic and i think the scene as a whole needs a culture change and to get back to the roots of making art and music at the forefront

The problem with internet anonymity is that these people on the pedestals, the content creators, the band members, etc. Its so hard for them to see the difference between the haters and the fans, so hard to see the context and nuance of a conversation through pixels on a screen. Its hard to see comments and posts as anything more than "the collective cry of the internet," even when it's just a loud minority. As much as i love to say that, the local scenes are just as bad, and even more rumor spreading. All because some girls are professionally groupies, and have a sick agenda! I’ve never liked Fronz or Ronnie back in the day after meeting and working with them. But I can respect that they don’t get a crap and they’re doing their own thing.
