Chaos Fortress - Pilot

I'm so sorry about how long this took me, 6 entire months since I've uploaded, it's been a long time, so where have I been?
Well, this project started a long time ago, over a year. And it took so long to come out because I did what I could to periodically upload as time went on, so that the longest drought would only be a couple months, as opposed to much longer, potentially. Why else did this take so long? Because I was terribly nervous for the entire duration of this video's creation, it's a big risk, and it was rewritten and redone several times, and I admit even now I'm not all that satisfied with it, but I can't wait any longer. Drama, life-changes, career shifts, I'm done delaying this.
So why was this project so important? For starters, I wanted to celebrate the time I've been on this platform, making videos for you all, even with all the ups and downs this has changed my life unquestionably. And I wanted to use all the little characters who showed up as time went along to go out with a bang, and to give room for fan-characters. In the beginning I was also pretty indecisive about it which costed me a lot of time, which might explain all the tonal shifts before I settled on this.
The other reason isn't as cheerful, unfortunately. This little series that I want to do, is going to be one of the last things I ever do on this channel. It's just a fact that I can't stay with TF2 forever, especially if my heart won't be in it anymore. That'd just be painful for all involved. So I wanted to do something huge before I hung up my coat and left, I didn't want to just abandon you guys, especially after everything I've promised. Speaking of which, yes I do still intend to do a certain fifteen minute video before I leave. Among a few other promises. As for what I'm going to do after I'm gone? I won't say much, men who only talk about their future rarely ever get to see it. But if you ever want to see snippets, models, test animations and the like, you can glimpse at my Twitter!
That is, if this picks up as a series, I mean maybe this pilot will fall flat and that'll be it, I'll still do everything else I've promised. Regardless of whether or not this gets traction. One thing is for certain though, my upload schedule is only going to get more hectic, and I don't know if there's anything I can truly do about it, I'm sorry.

This is really really well animated and this is a super high quality animation too! And the fact that they used some voice commands too for this too was pretty funny! I love the chemistry between the Mecha engineer and cyclops. You can tell their friends just by the way the work with each other and talk. I love the amount of work put into this. I personally just can wait for the next episode.

This was by far the coolest animation I have ever seen on KZbin, and I have watched SO MANY animations on KZbin. Seeing your old characters and other ones from other animations was almost... cathartic. I also loved the TF2 mercs having unique cosmetics and being pretty skilled instead of pushovers. This was so well-animated it's impossible not to enjoy it. I'd love to learn more about this universe of yours.

This... this is amazing Not only is the animation clean, fluid and overall amazing, but the fact that it ties in almost every single character from the other videos is astounding. The fact that Payton has taken his entire cast and used them to create a coherent, compelling universe is phenomenal, rewarding long-time fans whilst also making sure new viewers can enjoy this as well. Another thing that continues to impress me is how distinct each character's personality is, despite having only a set amount of voice lines, or even none at all. Everything in this video just screams quality and care, rendering it, at least in my eyes, an instant classic.

Well actually that pyro in the second part of the animation is a friendly freak since he was just being hunted and didn’t actually kill anybody at all except for the soldier who he didn’t really kill but instead controlled him but then he ended up being shot to death by the robo sniper so I feel sorry for him and I don’t think he intended to kill the soldier I mean you can even hear him literally saying sorry to the soldier at 12:13
