Smile Again was the first song that I heard and it did sound like Korn but the more I listened to it and their other songs CK Smile has a great voice and I don’t hear Korn anymore. I hear Chaoseum. I love their music.

Absolutely love this band. Ck has an amazing voice. Everyone is so talented. I have a cinnamon turquoise Greek cheek conure parrot who is almost 5 years old. He has never acted like he likes music. Anytime I play this song he gets excited and dances to it. He also bobs his head sort of like he's head banging. I have played so many different bands and he's never shown any interest in music, but he really loves this song

I was born in 86, this kind of music was part of me growing up in the 90's. I'll never forget my generation's music and it's so fucking badass to hear it again, in a new context, in 2022. I feel like you guys have tapped something that alot of us secretly want again, and you did an amazing job of it in the process, sounding like an emerging nu-metal band from the early 00's but somehow keeping it original and bringing it back to us now. Never give up on what you are doing, because we fucking love it and want more.

ABSOLUTELY bro!!I couldn't agree more. I was born in '86 as well...December 21st! Anyways....my first REAL transition into a metalhead was when I was like 12, someone introduced me to Korn's Follow The Leader album and BOOM! I was addicted to it lol Korn, Slipknot, Chevelle, Marilyn Manson, Orgy, Coal Chamber etc and even Limp Bizkit lol, then Disturbed, SEVENDUST(one of my fav bands along with Chevelle, Slipknot etc) Linkin Park, and the list just goes on and on and on and on. But altho Chaoseum initially got hit with some "Korn rip-off" comments etc...but I call bullshit!! CK Smiles has a similar vocal tone as JD for sure, but for me they are so different from one another!! As a die-hard Korn fan beginning in 1998....I don't care one bit to admit that I love EVERYTHING this band has released since CK became vocalist...all their live acoustic renditions as well..and I personally think Chaoseum is KILLING IT and their music thus far IN MY OPINION is way better than 80- 90% of everything Korn has released since their Issues/Untouchables albums era. Was hooked on Chaoseum the first time I heard Smile Again and basically every other song I've heard by them too. Forever Anxiously waiting for anything new from these guys

As a lifelong fan of Korn, I think this is absolutely beautiful stuff. To me, this is a band that shared that same love of Korn that we all had growing up, and now they’ve stepped up to carry the metaphorical torch and continue that legacy, with their own special touch.

The range of CK's voice is just amazing. I know he doesn't think of himself as a singer necessarily (he said that in an interview😂) but his voice and range from screaming to singing to higher notes is quite impressive. The whole band is quite talented. Great job guys!🤘👍👍

Yeah, many people heard "Smile Again" and immediately thought everything in their catalog was going to be derivative of Korn, but "Smile Again" is the most Korn-sounding song they have. Yes, CK's voice is similar to Jonathan's and the downtuned guitars that were a staple of nu metal are a hallmark of Korn's sound, but Chaoseum definitely has their own take on the style. It's a case where you can clearly see the influences, but have the sound evolve in a different direction.

Chaoseum are amazing at capturing a sad tone and sad lyrics with their heavy metal style, alot of people see the similarities to Korn and I'm not saying they aren't there but Chaoseum have such a good style that I wouldn't say Is purely Korn because it's not, Joanthan Davis had a really creative sound with Korn but CK smile and everyone else in Chaoseum have the sound but their lyrics and overall tone feels completely original.
