@draheim904 күн бұрын
I know he wasn’t the goalie but man, playing indoor or outdoor 6v6 as a keeper in my late teens and early-to-mid 20s was so brutal. Took a few clean and hard nut shots, cup didn’t help much. Got ran into a couple times. Had at least one concussion from taking a (hard) ball to the head when diving to make a desperate save on a point-blank shot. Hyperextended a finger and messed up my thumb, which took a few years to properly heal, partially tore my hamstring/quad which took like 6-7 years for me to stop feeling the effects of that (the scar tissue gave me an annoying/painful itch that I couldn’t satisfy). Suffered way more (and more severe) injuries from 6 or so years of that sport than I did in 15 years of hockey (along with other sports).

In soccer, the location of the ball matters for an out-of-bounds or handball (in three dimensions, no just if it is touching the ground). The location of the player is irrelevant. The line always favors action, so a ball touching the line can still be played with hands. In this case, the ball is fully outside the box, so it doesn’t matter that the keeper is in; it’s a handball.
