I've just discovered your channel and love it! I saw the main character as a female. Also when you said to squint I just took my reading glasses off and the whole dimension of the drawing changed, fascinating. I remember trying this technique at life drawing and remembered how much I loved the freedom. So glad I stopped by and thank you.

Harry Ally is the artist of the figure you mentioned, good stuff. I get your love of drawing like this, most moods when I'm making continuous circling moving lines is with ballpoints, they work well for lighter pressure so the lines can fade out nicely when you want them to over pen which has it's own stubborn personality with line; i go in just mark making and then see what is being revealed and start back in and pull out the faces, figures or shapes i see...can by mysterious and haunting what comes up; love seeing skillful work with enough in it that it will change based on what's going on in your day.

Another way to look at your drawing differently is to use a concave lens. It's like a magnifier in reverse, making what you are looking at much smaller. I used to scribble draw while looking at the tiny image to outline a drawing.

I call this style of drawing 'scribbling', but I do not mean that in a negative way. I like 'scribble' because it's very fun and free-flowing. I like that the figures essentially develop themselves and I like scribbling figures in motion. Very relaxing form of creativity for me. I recommend trying out a multicolored lead pencil for artwork like this, too- it's amazing. White on black is pretty awesome, too.

What made you want to draw this way and like this because when someone says ‘draw’ they wouldn’t think of some sort of line art like this.. I wouldn’t anyway. And did you just teach yourself by starting to scribble one day and it just went from there?
@jiotattoo2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for your question. If you watch my earlier videos, you can see that I used to draw in all sorts of styles. Realism was my go to, I used to draw a lot of portraits and animals. I only began to explore this sort of chaotic line art style in the pas few years, when I wanted to try something different and express my emotions by moving my hand more freely. This is one of the ways it comes out. You can see a lot more examples on my Instagram if you are interested. instagram.com/jiotattoo/ I hope this helps 🙂

It wasn't you who came up with this style. I have a painting at home since 1976. It was presented by the governor of my city to my mother and the artist of this painting painted in this style. Why say that someone is copying your tattoos.
@jiotattoo7 ай бұрын
I agree with you and I don't claim that I invented this style at all, specially the style of this drawing. But my tattoos are definitely something that is unique to me, both the style, the themes I explore, the way the lines come out of certain elements, etc and it's very clear when someone simply copies a design, there is no doubt in that. Hope you understand this.
