I like this format and would like to see more. Additional focus on how to find values and angles would be helpful. Thanks again for this informative, inspiring video!

Josh, I really love the looseness of this portrait, WELL DONE!!! 👏👏👏👏 I find it hard sometimes to figure out whether to draw tighter or looser... but now I've seen you draw, I feel that actually BOTH are equally immersive, equally fun, and both can put your brain into that calm sense of flow that we're all looking for as artists.. so, thank-you Josh, for this video 😃😃😃

I like the looseness of your style I also use this as well in my drawings , for me it's all about freedom from restriction but still come to a satisfying conclusion

Great format. I'm trying to learn charcoal techniques so any advice on fundamental techniques that you are using and how you'd recommend practicing them would be amazing. Having watched your vids and had a go one problem I have (I've many) is I'm not sure how to get accurate lines (with charcoal and putty) - it's not like using a sharpened pencil where you know where the tip is. The other prob I face is getting proportions right...I mess that and the whole thing falls to shit! Any advice on any of that would be amazing. I know it's all practice...just want to make sure I practice in good habits not bad ones. Excellent vids. Look forward to the next!

Love your videos. Wish you would have your study on the screen so we can follow your process, especially following darks and lights as you work. Thank you.

I am a visual learner and it helps to know what you are thinking as the drawing progresses, so this format is ideal for me. Your work is very inspirational.

That was amazing! I love your artistic style. Charcoal, Loose Powder, Ink, Paint, everything is so loose, abstract & yet remarkably detailed. Where did you study? Whose work influences you the most because I want to study them too! Are you or do you have a book filled w your work? Preferably a real book (not ebook). I want to flip thru pages of all your finished art, maybe w tips & techniques, different mediums you use, tools & possibly even diy exercises?! I desperately need to buy it! Everything you create is incredible! Thanks for sharing your talent with all of these Mad Charcoal videos!

I think this "raw" format is great. I LOVE the final result and I've been watching your videos for a while now. I thought to myself "Why haven't I subscribed yet?" so I did that. I also appreciate the insights you offer. Fantastic stuff!!

Absolutely refreshing! Cannot wait to try this. I kinda wish you had completed the upper half of the face. It would have been very interesting and instructive to see how you handle eyes and hair with this style. Regardless, loved it and want more!

I didn't think I would like this as much as I do. I've been looking for this type of drawing and you do it really well. It isn't abstract, but loose, yet with definite clarity. I'd like you to do more of the face. Very interesting. Love your charcoals, too.

I've been trying to draw both on paper and digitally for years now. I've come to the conclusion that it is simply talent and not skill as everyone says. Come to the point where its actually making me depressed. Time to give it up I think.
@YukoMadotsukiMusic10 ай бұрын
How long have you been drawing? Artists often dislike their works
@SteSeed10 ай бұрын
@@YukoMadotsukiMusic Believe it or not, for most of my life, I'm in my 40's. I have a younger brother who dabbles in art once in a blue moon when he feels like it, and is way more advanced than me. Like I said, it is pure natural talent, and not skill like many stupid people claim.
