Nice collection. I remember seeing them at Toys r Us, specially the F-22, it was really awesome, but did not have space to store it, and wasn't collecting Joes back then. You forgot to mention the little tank, a "Wiesel" with a similar recoiless gun mount as the "Ontos", very nice too.

I absolutely love these older chap mei lines, it's a shame there such a pain to get here in the states nowadays and chap mei refusing to just re-release them. In fact I've even been taking notes and inspiration from chap mei well designing my own action figure line that I hope to make one day.

@Shadoslavia perhaps these designs were discontinued for legal reasons? The Osprey, Merkava, and others were probably not licensed. If you look at the current offerings, very generic! And a sight less high quality…

@@gijoburg Good point, and if not that then it's probably some similar reason. Also speaking of that action figure line I've made some progress as in I have everything mostly planned out now I just need to start with the actual designing and other processes. Once I have some stuff ready in the future I do hope to possibly see my figure line showcased on this channel one day :)

@@simonpaquet7161 Well I haven't thought out specifics just yet, but I plan to start with the core characters of the main hero and enemy factions as well as say one or two generic army builder figures for each faction. And then I'd say if possible between two to four vehicles for each faction specifically an armored transport. An all terrain utility vehicle and some kind of aircraft then add plenty of customization options so you can modify you're vehicles to fit specific roles and then later on I plan to add more if the initial release does well enough.

Really impressive designs. Look like a cool set of vehicles that can easily join in on any G.I.Joe adventure. That plane and that mega tank have to be my personal favourites of this line-up. Great video. BURG

That mini tank is the M50 Ontos. It was a Vietnam era tank with 4 recoilless rifles. I’ve never seen one as a toy before.

Great vid Steve. You'de probably know that here in Oz we did (and still have) a lot of the True Heroes 3rd party 3/34 sets and vehicles available at mostly Toyworld chains. The Little Bird Attack Chopper, Blackhawk and APC are particularly really good and work beautifully with Joe from that range. Cheers Eric H

That little tank that came out of the Osprey had recoilless guns for anti-tank or bunker work😮.

As a kid growing up joe was certainly my favourite toy growing up and I certainly substitute other lines into it like corps. One thing I remember having as kid was this army jeep that for years it was a mystery to what it belongs to. However I was at my local toy fair in the middle of 90s and I discovered it’s was part of the mash toy line. But it wasn’t the end of it I even had the A team figures in my joe team that made from Galoob and I certainly never had problem with it but these figures I keep separate from my joes and cobras containers. So as I got into model making I learned the magic word 1:18 scale and so keep my eyes open for things in that scale. As joe stated to disappear after 94 here in oz I started to see other lines making a appearance in my toys r us especially chap mei soldier force. Ever since I saw the c-130 hercules in joe comics it’s was something I always wanted in joe but the day I discovered chap mei brought one out and for price under $50 it’s no brainer to me that I slammed down cash and brought it. I wasn’t one bit disappointed with it and my joes finally got a c-130 hercules What really drives my gears that you get some people in our community take swipe at lanard or chap mei saying something really negative and honestly yes sometimes there quality not the best but over all I do think if your a serious 1:18 scale fan you certainly got some great stuff in that scale from different lines it’s so rewarding to find new stuff and some of it is truely amazing and works with joe so well. Thank you again for putting spotlight onto something what is exciting and quite few people slammed it with negativity I’m glad someone step up and celebrate it for all the good reasons thank you. Theressa sad thing is now days in oz with toys r us finding some of it is even more difficult and that is sad but I have stumbled across it in op shops and picking it up quite respectable price. Anyway keep up great work and I wouldn’t mind sitting down with you sometime to share some memories with cup of hot chocolate

Ah, the days when Chap Mei not only produced amazing vehicles for 1/18 scale, but they even sold them in the US! Today, Chap Mei still produces the occasional cool vehicle, but they're always hard to find in the US. Chap Mei sold the tooling for the A-10 to a company called Lolipop who produced it again last year, although the new version doesn't have a cannon on the nose or the top turret.

The mini tank is based on the irl m50 ontos, those are not aa-guns those are recoilless rifles

Wow those vehicles are amazing, wish I knew about that stuff back then. Just got into Joe/4" figure collecting in 2020 and there really hasn't been much available in the US as cool as this stuff. I notice they still recycle some of those accessory weapon molds in their current sets (I have bucket loads at this point)

I think what you called a little tank with AA guns is kinda of a cross between a german Wiesel and an american M50 Ontos.

I got the Walmart helicopter and it came with the same gun and backpack. I put the weapons with my 6 scale way better than the ones that came with the Joe classified scale
