I was convinced to buy the can am maverick sport XXC. once I went and looked at the KRX in person, I decided im gonna go with the KRX, this is the only SxS on the market that has sheer pins on all 4 a arms, the seats are springy adding a plush feel and added suspension for the driver and passenger

Hi Tristan, they really are pretty awesome machines and look like beasts when parked next to the competition. Keep us posted on your experience with the KRX. Thanks for watching.

The weight is something everyone comments on. But if you sit the the other machines next to this one you see why it’s heavier. It’s components are massive. If you added higher end suspension, wheels and tires to any of the others you would close the gap a bit. Plus the krx comes with almost full length steel skid plates. Adds weight but adds protection over plastic. Granted they really could have gave it more power out of the box. But then they would have put themselves out of the class they are competing in. I’ve sat in one and drooled all over it. For the average person who is not racing this machine will do just fine. May not be as fast but it is much less likely to break from abuse than the others. All in theory.

I totally agree with all of your comments Evan. I too sat in and drooled over this machine. The fit and finish is rivaled only by the Honda Talon. Thanks for watching. - Kyle

@@chaparralmotorsports my and my wife both agreed on the two seater only. Our mountains in north west British Columbia we expect to be climbing and fording through some shallow river areas. The two seater is definitely more suited to challenging terrain. Of course should be interesting to fit an Elk on the back lol might need a trailer compared to my old can am commander

@@mikeronald1070 I have the KRX and it is a beast....... it's a very impressive machine....... I traded my yxz1000r for one and absolutely no regrets..... loved the yxz1000r also but for trail and technical riding straight out the factory the KRX outclasses it by far..... and Kawasaki has great customer service
@todda20264 жыл бұрын
I've seen a few good reviews of the KRX, looks solid. I do think it's too heavy and low on power for my use, but a solid competitor for sure. I believe in this entry level 1000 segment it all comes down to price, have not seen what people are actually buying them for? I do know it will be hard to compete with the mass produced units like the RZR, people I ride with are getting them in the 13,500 range now in TN. If it's truly a 30% price difference, it's a non-starter IMO. I'm on my 5th SXS since 2011 now, what I can tell you is a good portion of the options listed will be the first to remove/replace - including those worthless seat belts & front headlights. As with any brand, get ready to invest another 3-5k to have a machine setup like you like. BTW, I really do like the KRX coming with beadlocks and a set of 31" tires - those you might leave as-is? Even then I'd guess most people with go with larger tires that can take more sidewall carnage. All in all, I like the machine!

It's not underpowered at all more than you will ever use in the trails.... my dude I ride with is a huge Polaris guy...... he owns 5 of them..... and says he will never buy another one because every one he owns everything breaks on them...... he admits they are junk and have to sink a ton of money in them to make them trail ready........ and said their customer service is trash and has to fight them on warranty...... our other friend just bought the brand new RZR XP...... with all the bells and whistles paid 30.000 dollars for it and it's been in the shop more than he has ridden it full of problems
@todda20264 жыл бұрын
@@trevorbraden5448 I actually like the KRX - do believe it's a solid machine & will look close at it once the Turbo-S gets closer to 5k miles. Of all the machines I've had, not a single break down with a Polaris in well over 15k miles ( IE I've owned 800/900/1k/Turbo S). Not saying they are without issue, but not a single breakdown or belt failure. As for not underpowered, just not the case. No way I'd drop down to 1/2 the torque that my Turbo S has unless the price point was well under 20k. That being said, I've recently heard there are dealers giving away KRXs for 13,995.. For that kind of money I'd surely consider the KRX.

That's the most untrue comment. I bought a KRX and my buddy has a maverick sport. And on the whoops/ sharp corners/ small banks/or cliffs and river crossings the KRX dominants the trail. Doesn't need a turbo on this kind of terrain. The only way you'd beat a KRX is by modifications. As is there is nothing to modify on KRX accept the cvt snorkel above the engine. Maybe a lighter after market exhaust. If anyone questions me, I'm in Anchorage, Alaska. You bring your turbo Razor or turbo maverick and let's hit the trails.
