Oh my god! I was sat this afternoon sad that my mum n dad’s caravan is going for sale and for some reason I decided to come on KZbin to have a look round Chapel and I picked your video. This video has made me smile and cry. The man walking past Sea Chef with the walking stick and navy baseball cap and T-shirt is my Dad! He passed away last August so it was lovely to see him in his happy place ☺️

Many happy childhood memories of being here with my family. Dad had a touring caravan and he took us every Friday till Sunday. Longer in the holidays. As we grow up as teens we worked out there in the summer. I was a bingo caller in Happy Days lol with my friend. Lovely place just so many memories and I was really crying watching as only me n brother left now. Many stories to tell lol.

Great video as usual. Our family holiday destination from when I was a baby / toddler until I was about 13!!(1959 - 71) Neuchatel was one place we stayed in. Landseer Avenue we think? My brother and myself loved the arcade seen on the right just before the ramp up to the beach. Happy days!!

I stumbled upon this channel by chance and am simply loving it! It's one of the best channels on YT and a great antidote to covid blues! At some stage I'd like to see a walk from Chapel St Leonards village, along South Road then down Trunch Lane to the beach (it would probably have to be in two parts though?) This, the Ingoldmells and Skegness walks have brought back many happy memories of caravan holidays. Keep up the good work!

Marina do the best fish and chips in Chapel, lovely staff too. When you get to the top of slope going up to beach, turn right and stop for a pint at the Admiral Benbow. Outdoor seating in the shape of a ship.

I love chapel nice quite had caravan down there for about two years grey pub on the front further up I also caught cod out the sea as they do sea fishing on the beach at night

I was first there in 1971, my Aunt bought a caravan on the Robin Hood Camp site, I remember the first Robin Hood club, it was a little shack, we went every year, she upgraded to a new van every 5 years or so until the mid 80's when she moved to Tomlinsons. I moved to America in 2001, holidays here can not compare to the cheap happy family holidays I remember as a kid. Chapel is still as I remember it, although I miss the big oil slick on the beach, I used to have great fun throwing clods of that stuff at my brother.

I was rather disappointed that you only did half of Chapel st. Leonards. You missed a good part out. I spent most of my childhood there. I did work there when I was at college calling the bingo numbers in Happy Days Amusements. Chapel was like my second home in the 70s. Chapel st. Leonards has a lot more to offer than what was shown. Thank you for what you did, it was lovely to see.😎⛱

I grew up in Hogsthrope which is the next village to Chapel. Chapel is where the drs, post office etc were. Hogsthrope is tiny and didn’t have the amenities. My childhood centred around the village.

Romanced with the east coast resorts of Skegness, Ingoldmells, and Mablethorpe both as a kid myself and taking my children.

Popped in here last year, not impressed to be honest. The hinteralnd is mish-mash of amusement arcades and caravan parks, overspill of the awful near neighbour Ingoldmells. The North Sea observatory is worth a visit and the coast to the north is lovely.
