Tuning lower with standard intervals - mind blown initially. Drop tuning - mind blown again. Drop on lower tuning - mind blown severely. Drop tuning in which E-string goes down 5 semitones down instead of usual 2 - high impact mind implosion. Open tuning effectively lower than E standard - mind reconstructed. Combining open major tuning with 5 semitone overdrop mentioned above - mind expanded. Applying open tuning of a 6-string on the 7-string, effectively expanding the bottom range - RETICULATED INTERGALACTIC PSYCHOACTIVE HIVE MIND.

Climb up with the a string minor scale from open up while alternate picking your e)-now D string with every note that you hit on your a string, climb up or down to shred.. Then add all the diads-two note chords, with the higher d string and the a string pattern u just hit. Either be a half step or fulll step in either direction Congrats u can now play with every song thats in d or a and even g. Which is prolly 40% of all wstrn music

Rabea, i am a bass player who uses the one good finger on my right hand to do all the fretting work when i play, and use my two best fingers on my other to handle plucking work. It took me watching a guitar lesson on KZbin a few months ago to realize what all of my "friends" that are guitar players could have taught me years ago whenever i expressed a desire to be able to play guitar.... knowledge of playing a stringed instrument that had no knowledge of chord building was the only missing piece. NO ONE ever shared that bit of free knowledge, especially when i am around so many musicians that down-tune their instruments.... Well, regardless. Thanks to my recently found knowledge and the basis on which to build my abilities, i have become quite the riffing addict on guitar in just a couple of months as well as continuing to advance my bass playing skills, UBER thanks to guys and gals like you for being willing to spread knowledge in a community of people that often seem very hesitant to want to advance the ability of those around them. Cheers to you! By the way, I FUCKING love my lefty ghost fret V2 =D if ya wanna see how i play, i have a video posted of a cover of shortest straw on bass that i posted recently. cheers man.

For those people who aren't familiar with down-tuning, these tips applies to down-tuning in general (Drop C, Drop B, Even Drop A) and not just Drop D :) Also to give an example of a Band that uses all of these tips a lot is Bullet for my Valentine (Although most of their music is written in Drop C). Great video as always :)

Love the Dsus2 chord shape. I also look at it as stacking 2 power chords on top of one another, if you don't play the E string for the sus2 'colour'. e.g. at 5th fret it is GDGDG(mute top string) for a big sounding G5.
