As a Chilean who lived and was on the street during the 2017 and also 2019 protests i thank you guys for giving light to this. I learned more about John Cobin and am trying to make a translation to make sure people here know what he was plottinf.

The first time that I saw Evo Morales was when the USA closed European airspace and downed his airplane looking for Ed Snowden. Evo Morales is indigenous. We got to be happy for Lula for about two heart beats.

Almost all American companies still use terminals because they are terrified of leaving the terminal.

I'm not really big on the Fascistic Government stuff but I don't think that I will protest in the street against Mandatory Medicare. I am against it, I think that the people should all have the Senatorial Health Plan. There's something worth marching around. 🇺🇸

Difference between millionaire and billionaire: It if takes 59 years to spend all of your million dollars -- it will take you 59,000 years to exhaust a billion.

If jeff Bezos decided to invest all his money in rental properties he could get an annual income between $7.5b (5% cap rate) and $15b (10% cap rate) Which means he could spend between $17m and $34m every day, which is $200 to $400 dollars per second , literally forever.

I'm firmly convinced the existence of billionaires IS only tolerated because the human mind isn't really equipped to count that high, or internalize what numbers that big truly, actually mean. Otherwise, everyone would be like "Yeah no that's a bit overboard chief, reign it in."

This always blows my mind... it takes roughly 11 days to count to a million (24 hours/day at 1 count/second) and over 30 years to count to a billion at the same rate

N R L lol like it’s a problem. “Damn government has gone to far with its free health care! What’s next free housing? Free college? Some kind of green energy based legislation modeled after the new deal designed to empower and enhance the socioeconomic standings of the working class while simultaneously combating climate change to be paid by the corporations that caused climate change? Wait stop cheering I was told people hate free things”

EstimatedProphet92 my point is that the Right always figures how to frame things that people would normally like in the darkest, scariest, most Orwellian way.

Coming back to this ep, the boys were right about the Bloomberg debate strategy- embarrassing himself to promote Warren (74min mark).
@RoyalFusilier4 жыл бұрын
God, I never thought of it like that. It's like the fact that Warren currently has the biggest super-PAC out of all of them; it's not because they, or even she, particularly expects to win. It's just to crush the only center-left candidate running.

I met Bret Stephens when he visited my HS history class. Semi-informal. He was staged as a sort of guest who could challenge our views during the open Q&A. As he was a conservative member of the inteligensia, our lib HS culture took interest. I think we talked about Israel, solidly within the Obama era. Overall, thoroughly forgettable encounter.
