Chapter 0: The Numbers: Get in Order!

Welcome! My name is Toby D Morris, and I’m the author, illustrator, and publisher of The Numbers!
Today I’m reading Chapter 0 from the first book in the series, The Numbers: Get in Order! Originally, each chapter within the book was intended to be a book by itself, aimed at younger children, until I decided to expand and upscale each story before putting them together (in order, of course) and creating The Numbers: Get in Order!
It’s a little unusual for a book to start with Chapter 0, but I feel that 0 (zero), or nothing, is important! Many things can be created from nothing - or, as I like to think, from our thoughts! It was from 0’s kind thoughts about helping others that the lives of The Numbers began to change. She inspired them to be a little more thoughtful by being such a great number (and role model) to count on! So, I couldn’t leave her out!
