I’m sure you guys know this but on those copies of the Harry Potter books the giant snake connects them all. If you line them up in order from 1-7 it makes one giant art piece which looks very cool. On the Deathly Hallows the snakes head is shown. It’s honestly very cool to look at.

The Weasleys going to Egypt again might also be due to the events of last book. They just found out Ginny has been under a strange curse for a whole year, and Dumbledore likely didn’t explain much to them about the effects, to keep horcruxes secret, especially since he himself is only now figuring their existence out. So Arthur and Molly take Ginny to Bill, who is a professional curse breaker, just to make sure she’s definitely fine.

Good one, but tbh we don't really know what "Curse Breaker" really means. It could be curses put on the Pyramids and such, which the Gringotts may want to bypass to study the hidden secrets and/or get more treasure. I know it doesn't sound ethical, but maybe Egyptian Wizarding government also allows it, as the past is the past, and the only way to benefit from it is to glean its secrets.

I've noticed that Ron tends to demonstrate more concern for Harry during the summer holidays. He is so worried over not getting replies from Harry in book two to the point of bringing it up to his family. This results in Fred and George helping him rescue Harry via the car, while Molly and Arthur plan to get Harry themselves if they don't hear back by the end of the week. Ron also is quick to follow up on Harry's request to call, doing so during the first week. Hermione, on the other hand, while she is concerned, doesn't think to ask her parents if they can check up on Harry or anything like that. And despite knowing perfectly well how to use a phone, it doesn’t occur to her to follow through with calling Harry until Ron has already warned her against it.
@YourNeighborhoodItalian5 ай бұрын
I think Hermione isn’t as worried cause she goes back to muggles too, or maybe Harry would tell Ron just how bad the Dursley’s were since that was his home boy instead of his girl friend
@akumasstorytime39105 ай бұрын
@@YourNeighborhoodItalianmain thing is: ron was Harry's best friend and Harry often times just didn't like Hermione. Like during GoF and HBP Harry gets miserable spending time alone with Hermione without Ron being present. Even during DH once Ron leaves, Harry and Hermione don't even talk to one another for days on end.
@SuperCarlinBrothers5 ай бұрын

@@SuperCarlinBrothers another example of Ron being Harry's best friend? Hermione was likely finishing all her summer homework early and actually spending time with her parents for once. Ron was far more concerned on when he could hang out with his best friend again instead of homework and he goes to school with most of his siblings anyway.
@carmeltabby5 ай бұрын
I think it's also important to remember Mrs. Weasley is very interested in Harry's well-bring too. So she may have asked Ron if he's heard from Harry and Ron answered honestly, perhaps also confessing worry about him. Whereas Hermione's parents honestly sound very aloof to their daughter. Hogwarts probably isn't the first boarding school she's been to because they both work, they don't seem bothered that they rarely see her for holidays or even entire summers as she gets older. So they probably wouldn't care or believe Harry was in much danger at all even if Hermione explained what the Dursley's were like. So she probably didn't bring it up. Good points about her not bothering to call him either but maybe she deduced that she would get Harry in trouble if she called him based on what he's said about his home life?

Dumbledore could have done legilimency on baby Harry 😂 Or he could have had Hagrid do a regular crime scene investigation. He’d be able to observe that James’ body was further away and that Lily’s body was in front of baby Harry. So from that it would be easy to assume that James was killed first and that Lily lost her life protecting Harry. Dumbledore would have had to have known about Lily’s sacrifice before bringing Harry to the Dursleys, because he wouldn’t have been able to include in the letter that Harry is safest with Petunia if he didn’t know.

Yall talking about how the Dursleys put way more effort into hating Harry when it would be super easy just to tolerate him made me think of a video idea. As parents it would be interesting to hear you talk about all of the things that the Dursleys would have HAD to do to raise Harry for him to become a developmentally average kid. I mean he was 14 months when he got dropped with them! They would have had to by duplicates of babu supplies like a crib and stuff. He was just learning (or about to learn) how to walk and talk and we know they taught him how (same with potty training later on). How long did they have to legitimately care for him before they could start hating him?
@forestgrump47235 ай бұрын
Oh I hate to think about that because it takes my brain to places of them just leaving him in dirty diapers much longer than they should giving him diaper rash and being cruel to this poor baby if he doesn’t start walking immediately… or smacking his shins so he doesn’t start walking before Dudley does… oh I can’t stand it. Personally with regards to how Dumbledore knows what happened at the Potter’s, I think it’s a bit simpler; I think there’s just an Auror investigation in which they collect baby Harry’s memory since he’s the only living witness and they see the scene, which then spreads like wildfire on the rumor mill, and then they take Harry to St. Mungo’s to run a million tests all day bc no one’s ever survived the killing curse and they’re assuming there must be SOMETHING wrong with him, and that’s why Hagrid doesn’t show up at the Dursley’s til the following night.

So fun fact. I have spent some time teaching in Asia, and it’s still fairly common for students there to be required to write with quills because it is believed that it will help them improve their penmanship and hand-eye coordination. Maybe the wizarding world works along the same lines thinking good penmanship translates to good wandwork. Plus, this also explains why Harry constantly remarks on other people’s penmanship. Possible theory fodder: does a wizard’s penmanship translate into magical skill? I.E. Hagrid’s handwriting is described as scrawling and messy which could be compared to his magical skill.

You guys scared me with the post about the audio I thought we just weren't going to get an episode this week. Thanks for giving us this "backup"😂. Hopefully the rest of the tour goes off without a hitch.

It’s such a bummer not getting to see the live show. We had so much fun there and the audience interaction was great. I really hope you are able to figure out the codec issues with the audio and post it. I’ve been looking forward to it all week. You two are just as fun in person and I’m very happy to be able to confirm that.

They should have regular episodes too in addition to the live shows so that those that really want to understand their thoughts can’t be distracted by the live crowd.

Regarding the Cover, all 7 of the cover arts piece together into a large mural like a puzzle. That likely explains Harry’s absence on this cover. Because it’s just one large image and he is elsewhere on the covers of other books
