The fact that you have to constantly readjust the channels make them a weak setup, there are so many different ways to draw them and it gets subjectively difficult to pin point the exact angle. I only use channels as contextual reference and never use them for trade setups. Instead, I think leg counts are much more important than channels. Just remember this, if you are allowed to repaint and not able to generate your setups in real time, that's a weak setup or signal.

Using channels and trend lines on larger time frames makes a lot sense. But having to constantly re-adjust every 5 minutes or so based purely on subjective observations, seems excessive. It’s like having multiple technical indicators, Stochastics, Keltner, bol bands, etc…. and then tinkering with settings of the indicator to try and adapt it to the price. Seems like it’s overkill on the 5 min chart.

:) you will spend more time adjusting and redrawing channels, trend lines..... and not be able to focus on trading.
