Had some thoughs on my mind so I decided to share it with You Guys. A little bit of personal feedback about Chapter 2 on Season 9 Ascension WoW Destiny's Dawn World of Warcraft.

Synergy rolls confuse me. I pick cards, I spam the 3 abilities that are the core of my build. I'll roll a random druid spell whilst levelling.. and I continue to be offered legendaries and epics tailored to that one druid spell I got. I think if you lock any abilities and talents, they should get the synergy bonus. Because at the minute, you are right. We got a week of synergy.. and now it feels like they rolled it back

I totally agree, how are a synergy rolls any better if it synergy rolls a useless ability. Why are they making builds so hard to roll. Chapter 2 feels no different.

​@joshmoskita4574 Yep. It's strange because with the lag, the rolls were the only thing going well 😂 now it feels like the same as before. Getting past an 80% build feels near impossible. Whilst getting offered cat finishers without cat form, "requires defensive stance" abilities and "does not work with Titan's Grip" talents.. synergy my ass 😂

@@joshmoskita4574 Same here!, I rolled a melee warrior and a shami melee builds, and the rolls give everytime druid spells and talents and then synergy with more druid stuff.

I am sure synergy rolls are not working! I've gone through at least a thousand scrolls trying to roll shadowfury. I have almost every talent that boosts it, yet it still eludes me.

Yea I aree, im at 5k rerolls for my 1 last talent. It has TONS of synergies in the build yet ive seen pretty much every other non synergistic legendary talent twice or more but not the one im missing. Im thinking that synergy rolls cannot affect legendary takents or that synergy rolls is capped at a specific amount of hits or something other like that.

I played area 51 for a few month and I like the randomness of Elune but maybe I was lucky with the skill cards I got within the first 3 prestige runs

I’ve tried so many times to get my friends into Elune and it was the constant poor builds they kept rolling after hours and hours of grinding. I convinced them to try it again because of synergy rolls, but it felt no different. We even tried basic builds and meta cards, still only rolled a quarter of the build after a few days. Feels bad because Elune had so much potential. You nailed this video! All true!

Conclusion: Just as Las Vegas as before. If you like it you like it but personally I prefer being able to play what I want.

Even as a guy with too much free time i do not find it worth it to play elune and try forcing through 700 rolls just to get something slightly playable And ofc area 52 being lower pop without manastorm and people squeezing every ounce of meta out of making a build it is hard to play ascension at all at this point EDIT this is my opinion ofc

I agree, logging in to the sound of endless rerolls by the 20+ toons around you is not gaming and of zero interest to me so I stay off Elune and A52 sadly is turning in to a right wing extremist soapbox in chat and slowly turning from "play it your way" to "play meta" as it becomes more popular. Off to look for a new game I guess...again!

for me the biggest change is the card slots i think once you have the cards 6/8 is a sweet spot to get many build goings

I did hundreds of rolls over the weekend fishing for Bloodbath, Bladestorm and Elemental Weapons and while I did get a handful of nice things it didn’t feel anywhere near the same as when Chapter 2 first started. The bad luck protection isn’t working and I’m not sure the synergy rolls are either. If they accidentally broke it trying to fix the lag then fine but if they’re trying to hide information then people are going to be pissed. Maybe the more total rolls you have on a build the lower your overall chance is of getting a synergy roll? Seems like it’s possibly gone from 1/10 to 1/500 lol

I think they changed it to make it easy to get abilities and talents in the first few days or week maybe. It felt good doing rerolls, then I think they reverted it. The rolls now feel like pre chapter2 now .

When the game is not about how you choose to build your character and how well you handle it, but rather how lucky you are and how many times you've held your breath hoping for good rng... Ah, I understand that people like it, but personally I think it's a subpar experience. Tedious, time consuming, frustrating.

what i don’t understand is why they always roll back to vanilla, why can’t we have current progression? or at the very least the start of tbc? i’m tired of running the same content for years at a time plus, it seems like they gutted or removed some of the more niche and interesting REs (and are now abilities… what???), one such i couldn’t find was Disembowel, which was one of my favorites cause i loved the bleed idea speaking of, in terms of bleeds, i rolled the poison bleed warrior ability at the start and towards the end i started rolling even more bleed synergy - thirst for blood, rend, hell scream, that aoe bleed rogue finisher, and the bonus physical damage on a bleeding target talent - so the synergy rolls definitely work… but it can take your build in the wrong direction VERY easily

I agree that synergy rolls are weird. Yesterday I farmed 383 talent rerolls from Trio and Duo manastorm. I had Titanic strike ability, and I didn't manage to roll Titan's fury in 383 rerolls :D . This is like the last legendary out of 10 which I require. This is especially weird when you realise that I have rolled other legendaries who don't even have a synergy with my build.

when we hopefully get draft mode back in season 10, with this shattered RE system, it will most likely feel literally 3x better as you will have 3 choices to roll what you want. Right now it does feel pretty sht as you can drop 1K rolls and have everything for an ability except one single thing and not get it.

I miss draft mode where you at least get three choices instead of one. I really enjoy having multiple legendary random enchants (although I guess they are talents now). Manastorm also sucks now. Get stuck at Gadgetzan bs instakill mechanics that you cannot avoid. Have to be level 60 and able to soak damage to get passed it. Used to be able to play manastorm under 60, now it's just not fun concrete walls every 5 levels. A52 is better, but too much meta bs. State of the server is pretty bad right now. Really missing draft mode in seasonal server. They keep trying to make wildcard work, but it's a bad mechanic at its core. Draft mode had amazing synergy, and yet it wasn't as meta heavy as free pick.

after playing a few days and 7 prestiges i give up on ascension again , its the same shit , cant get a decent build , i have no ideea what works and what doesn't, there are a few things that i would like to try but need like 4-6 things that make it work and i have no luck to get them, dont have the cards i need , dont want to spend time farming gold to try to get the gold cards , its a fking mess

Check out curse of agony builds - people were doing 55k with half-complete builds with it pre-chapter 2 and with the synergy roll changes it's probably a 70k+ spec right now. ( was untouched by nerfs.)

i hope next season they go back to old REs and try to buff the ones that arent really viable, i dont like the current way. All i do mostly is manastorm to farm the vanityitems and gold to buy other vanity items lol.

Poison rogue is really strong now doing almost 30k st atm, still missing a few talents and boomkin.

Surething! The key abilities i use are poisons(ofc..), mutilate, stormstrike, envenom, poison nova, s&d, kingsbane The key talents are festering wound, blood venom, toxic strikes, ele rend nature. Any further questions hit me up ingame! - Trenhard

They say you don't get a reroll of the same thing for 25 rolls. I have rolled a 1/3, then a 2/3 of something I didn't want back to back. I have also got nothing synergistic in 25 rolls so it still feels bad. I do like the Manastorms so far. I'm been solo for the last week since I am returning. Starting a fresh character. That all said, the biggest thing that prevents me from playing is the fact I like highly mobile abilities like Flying Serpent Kick, Roll, and Demon Hunter style play. I refuse to play Retail, and enjoy the custom classes.

There are a few things I like about this channel over the others I've seen that cover ascension... 1) you stay on the subject... no rambling about random nonsense that has nothing to do with anything 2) you're content is current and pretty up-to-date whereas most videos I see are a year old (which doesn't help looking for build videos) 3) your fire mage prestige pvp farmer is great I've been using it (with some tweaks of my own.) Keep up the good work brother.

we just need a freepick shattered RE server. wildcard got boring after they did it several years in a row. and it becomes worse when people have a lot of new things to play with. can't test anything without sinking excessive amounts of game time.

I don't hey why you'd even play the random server besides the fact that it's seasonal the whole appeal of random spells is somehow making it work and having a viable character yet for years now they nerf spells to the ground so you can't make most of the spells work the random talent idea is just straight up stupid whoever made it and passed that is subhuman honestly.

Why don't you play on the free pick? I'm sure you've already heard this... but nit picking because the RNG does not give you the BiS build seems like the baby throwing the toys out of the cot. What do you wan't ?.... the game can't read your freakin mind on which skill/spell you're rolling for. Making it work with what you have at the moment is what ascension is all about =].
