Hi! Thankful for these videos but one important thing that should be added and or changed is for one, the photos of babies in their car seats are not actually harnessed correctly (which can affect how their head sits), and also the head positioners are actually not safe to use in the car seat either. I understand why it’s helpful but it’s not safe unfortunately.

My baby is 5 months and I just realized the tilt but he breastfeeds fine. Is it too late to treat ?
@milestonesphysicaltherapys869 Жыл бұрын
5 months old is still definitely young enough to treat. The tilt and neck muscle imbalance can be treated at any age, it is the head shape that is time limited. However, the younger you treat the torticollis the better, especially as it can effect sitting, rolling, crawling etc. I hope you find support near you.

Does jaw asymmetry/misalignment get improved once the torticollis is resolved? I am very worried that my baby has to go through this. Should we see some specialist for the jaw?? Any suggestion wouldbe really appreciated 🙏

It does improve over time, particularly if you incorporate release work for the facial muscles. Please find a physiotherapist in your area for specific advice.

Watched the first video and I’m 6 minutes into this one but still haven’t gotten any repositioning tips ? Title seems a bit off for these videos
@milestonesphysicaltherapys8692 жыл бұрын
Chapter 3 covers the main repositioning and counterpressure tips. Chapter 4 is Tummy time and Chapter 5 covers remaining topics, like sleep and helmets. The first two chapters are to help understand the conditions of torticollis and plagiocephaly and how and why repositioning works. Thanks for the feedback 🙂

Hello-this is very treatable but your baby will need an individual assessment for you to learn specific exercises to treat it.
