These tips really work! My June baby hasn’t shown interest in rolling for weeks, then within about a couple weeks of practicing Tip 1 with her, she started to roll from back to belly - today, at 4.5 months! I could tell she enjoyed this exercise too, she would smile and start working her muscles every time we got into position as if she knows ☺️ It also helped to have our high contrast images booklet propped up behind her head when laying on back as she would try to look up and roll over to see them. Your videos are so helpful - thank you!!!

Yesterday was my baby girl turned 5 months old. She also rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time and then was being a wonderful little show off repeating it over and over again as we cheered her on. Then she rolled from her back to belly a couple times in the same day. We are beyond proud and were so excited! Thank you for all your helpful videos along the way! They really have helped and let me have piece of mind she's right on track. 👣

HI, thanks so much for watching. I have a video on activities you can do with 0 -3 month old babies which you might find helpful! Just be mindful if you are him standing up a lot. Babies start to prefer this position and become upset when you place them on the floor in tummy time or their back which is really important when developing their gross motor skills.

My baby was the same. We follow him. He’s 4 months now. I’ll admit he’s not a fan of tummy time but he’s very strong actually! He gets up on his own if he’s on an inclined position. He holds his head well. I got him to do tummy time for 10 whole minutes for the first time not too long ago. Just follow your baby!

My real struggle is about letting the baby play on his own, where he actually learns and practices these skills independently. Everything I have read and watched kind of tells me to be engaged with the baby all the time with rolling, sitting etc. And I did it constantly I think until 3 months, but now that he is 4 months old, I have realized that the moment I leave him alone (spending time a couple of meters away), he starts to think by himself and immediately starts to roll over and try to shift the weight back to roll back. But no sources ever told me to just leave the baby to play with himself if he is happy and I still have this mom's guilt if I am even just watching him from the distance minding his own business.
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard Жыл бұрын
Hi Mia, at this age your little one will be a lot more independent in being able to move around and hold and play with toys. So he will start to be happier to spend time lying on the floor exploring. It is exhausting interacting with a baby all day and honestly it isn't something they need - sometimes they would prefer to play with toys then interact with you. That is fine. So enjoy those moments of watching him from a distance without any guilt!
@miamaui8069
@miamaui8069 Жыл бұрын
@@EmmaHubbard Thank you for the reassuring words and also for the content. I have used the guidelines in your videos for helping to roll from stomach to back. But now I try to help him if he needs me and lets me know and the other times when he is playing by himself he sometimes remembers the moves which we did together and tries to mimic it by himself. Which, I realized, is also the progress he needs to go through - to process the steps by himself and let the little one learn his own body and movements :)

He had started to roll onto his tummy in his cot, but his arm gets stuck along side him and he can’t go back over to his back. My girl rolls fine back to font but for the life of her can go fron to back lol we have been doing tummy time almost since she popped out and still going now at 6+ months old. She will move herself around to reach things while on her tummy, has excellent head control etc. Apparently some babies that have great head control its harder to get them to turn. Is this true? Illegal have literally done everything as far as training her and still do. She will get on her side but won't actually completely turn

My daughter is able to rollover from back to her tummy just before she turned 3’months. Would you recommend encouraging baby to stand at 3months old? She pulled herself up while holding her in sitting position and she made steps forward and so excited looking at herself in the mirror standing and moving forward. I’m worried about spine problem later on based on what I read online but still not sure if it’s really true or not so I didn’t encourage her to do that.

My baby started to roll over at 4 months, I noticed his right arm is stronger than his left arm though, he is extending his right arm more than the left.

Hi Emma, my baby is 4.5 months old n she is a premature baby. I just saw ur video n it gave me a positive hope that my baby will roll soon. So my question is are premature babies take longer time to achieve milestone than normal babies?

My little one is almost 6 months, she’s been rolling from belly to back since two months and we have tried and tried to get her to roll the other way but she has no desire! She’s been sitting for close to a month independently and when in her tummy will push onto straight arms and interact with toys. I have done all of these tips for probably a few months and she can roll with perfect form if I guide her, but just won’t do it independently. We’ve tried toys, wedges, mirror, phone, and she will actually fight against the roll if she’s not in the mood, knees to her chest arms pushing hard back, tucking her head, etc. I’m at a loss in what else to do to help her. We have to use lots of distraction to keep her in tummy time as well or she will just roll over. We practice every wake window and she sleeps side lying almost all the time ( gets herself there). Any tips??

Great info...My 6 month old doesn´t roll yet (but he tries) and i was wondering if floor or surface hardness has anything to do, our apartment is very small and we mostly have him on the bed or a soft futon for his excercises. Should we be placing him on the floor instead?

Thank you for the video! 💕 My daughter is now 5 months 1 week old and so far she rather tracks only with her eyes. I don't know, maybe she doesn't really have a favorite toy up to now? So I don't know what to use to make her interested in rolling over to get it. 😅😳 Anyway, I'll try the activities presented in this video.

My baby is 7 ½ months and maybe once or twice a day on average he will roll both ways on his own. Some days it's effortless and some he crys as soon as I put him for tummy time and pulls arms back and no interest in it. He has a little bit of head lag when I pull him up by arms when I video it to check. But he does have good head holding. He struggles with support sitting and always wants to fall back onto me or sides. My friend with multiple kids says he should be consistently rolling come 5 months old and most sit come 6 months. Do you think he's just a bit delayed and needs to keep practicing or do you think I should talk with his ped dr for physical therapy? I will add I had ppd and bad mindset sometimes so he didn't get a ton of tummy time his first 6 months, maybe 2x a day now I do 4-5x

Hi. My baby 3 months old & she loves to roll over now but including after breastfeeding session. So once she is in tummy time position she will vomit. Should i still encourage her or stop her attempt to roll over until 1 hour after breastfeed so that she didnt vomit?

It's great that he is able to roll onto his sides, as that is the first step! Hopefully the other tips in this video help! Do remember though that rolling over is a skill he can learn anywhere from 4 - 7 months so he has lots of time to master this skill!

My baby is 3 weeks old and already started to try rolling. She is happy when she has tummy time and lifts up the head by herself for 2 minutes. I am not sure if I should teach her rolling this early.

@@jae6950 we demonstrated how to roll in front of our son then we helped bending his leg to side position. Even so, he was really not interested. But we always let him on his tummy. Now he is 8 months old and suddenly he is happily rolling front and back. I think it's a matter of time. Really 😅
