Rules:
1. I not allowed to have any unit that is paired up land an attack at all, though I can pair up for other reasons such as AI manipulation, Shelter, or movement options.
2. All units must get married. This is to avoid the run from turning into a complete Ryoma sweep.
3. I am allowed infinite resources and an early chef's hat.
4. DLC, grind maps, and online battles are banned
5. As a personal challenge, I am going to try and avoid strats that abuse too much chokepoint stalling to make some maps, like chapter 7, just a little bit more interesting.

I’m astonished at how good Sakura has become. I don’t think I could pinpoint the exact moment she became a juggernaut, but it’s a treat to see.

Reinforcement spam is probably my biggest beef with Fire Emblem games. It doesn't make the game harder, just more tedious. When you have a setup to counter them and their spawns, they are effectively just time sinks. Later games even give them a skill that prevents you from obtaining Exp from them, meaning they literally exist to just be an annoyance. I'm not against reinforcements being triggered by player progress, those make sense from a lore perspective (calling up reserves, setting an ambush, etc.), but when the chapter spams enough units to form an entire army on their own, there's a problem (Camilla's chapter in Engage had so many units, the game literally starts dropping frames). I hope later installments claw this mechanic back. One of Engage's biggest flaws was precisely this problem, so hopefully the devs took note and decide to scrap this mechanic.

Can't believe this run is finally almost finished! I actually love the opening phase of this map when you're fighting against walls of powerful enemies who are flanking your army. Not a huge fan of the Entrap stuff, though.

How do you go about getting yourself a chef hat for each run?

@@AstraProc before the 3ds shutdown, you could get it early by visiting castles online and buying one from the Hoshidan lv3 accessory shop. Nowadays, you either hack it in or you have to wait til the point of the game where it unlocks naturally (only in br and rev)
