oh man you are speaking my language, I am doing my first commissioned piece right now and of course it is a farmhouse vanity out of pine... I have two festool sanders one with a 2.0mm stroke. I am doing a chemical stain sanded back then a traditional stain over the distressed wood and every time there is always one spot with a curly q somewhere once I apply the finish, so I strip it and sand again. I have spent 4 times the time finishing this thing than building it...
