Small detail: In the Yarnaby trailer, he doesn't actually attack the POV character in the video. The song plays, POV character looks around, sees Yarnaby, then Yarnaby opens his mouth. There isn’t a jumpscare or a loud jumpscare sound. The video just ends. Witch, because of the references to Yarnaby being very dog/cat-like, makes me believe that Yarnaby was greeting someone (like a dog opening its mouth and panting). I believe Yarnaby also does a little head tilt before opening his mouth. That felt very 'huh?' to me.

Yup - it seems likely that the POV character of the trailer is Dr. Sawyer. We hear Poppy's dialogue at the end of Chapter 3, but muffled in a way that sound like it is coming from another lift shaft.

Good luck on the Toast Plushy drive!! The person we follow in the trailer is not the game protagonist: Poppy sounds far away from us in it. I think it's Sawyer we're following, as Yarnaby is not aggressive and even leaves an offering in the form of a dead toy when he gets there.

Can I share an idea that I hope isn't insane? The Prototype is a hand. The gameplay and mechanics of Poppy Playtime are that you use different hands with different properties to get through the chapters. Could it be possible that we could have a scenario where The Prototype may be 'killed' or it gives itself to us, and we can use it as a weapon or puzzle-solving tool, or something of that nature? For instance, it's a big hand, so the obvious thing is letting you punch stuff. But we know it made a laser pointer, so we could maybe have a laser of sorts, similar to how chapter 3 gave us a flare gun hand. You'd have a narrative reflection of us getting to use parts of a defeated enemy, instead of The Prototype allegedly doing that. I'm trying to point out that is the fact our player uses hands, and The Prototype is a hand, perhaps something that has hidden in plain sight and has been some sort of long game foreshadowing, maybe?

Good video! I agree that Harley Sawyer is still alive. I once agreed with the idea that the one speaking in "The Story So Far" as the Prototype mimicking Sawyer. But then I realized this voice was watching the player via cameras in the labs, while the Prototype was following us around the entire time. Though I wouldn't say Poppy is "wrong", since Project Playtime does shows the Prototype controlling the same toys who commit the hour of joy, and who try to kill the player, which would imply the Prototype does want us dead. I think Poppy and Kissy are working with/being manipulated by Sawyer, who is against the Prototype. In Chapter 1, we see writing all over the vents to leave Poppy locked away, because she is on "their" side. Huggy, we we know for a fact obeys the Prototype, seems to be trying to stop us from freeing her, and he might even be the one who wrote all over the place, potentially because she is on the side of Sawyer. In my opinion Harley became Doey the Doughman, another character shown to be in CH4. No longer forced to obey the limitations of his human body, no longer plagued by mortality, Project Playtime showing Sawyer's view of mortality being a weakness, one he wanted to conquer.

I think the reason Poppy said that the Catnap was the only obstacle left in the way, was because Catnap was one of the only things keeping the support and cult of the Prototype together. In the the official Sleep Well song in partnership with CG5, the lyrics call out the Prototype as a “Fraud of a god.” And generally portray him as a person who lied to the toys about being free, meaning most of the support for the Prototype died down after the Hour of Joy. (It’s also definitely because the toys don’t like eating who would have been their former friends for food.) And Dogday before he is killed by the smaller Critters states that the toys worship the Prototype because not only are the toys scared of being killed, but they are being fed for worshiping him. Meaning the Prototype’s “Supporters” likely don’t actually care about him, they just want to eat food and avoid horrific torture. I bet they would have no problem killing and eating alive the Prototype if the had the chance, toys like Mommy Long Legs are likely only loyal to the Prototype because Catnap gives them food, which is why she fears becoming one with the Prototype, she does not actually like him. And now that Catnap, one of the only things keeping the cult together is now dead. It is only a matter of time until all the toys rise up against him and get their food. I think the toys we will face in chapter 4 and beyond will not be loyal to the Prototype or Poppy, just hunters looking for their next meal. Maybe that is the reason why the Prototype is collecting the bodies of the toys that were killed by the Player, he is preparing for the time when all the toys rise up against him and he will have to be the last person standing. Maybe that is the reason he is so adamant about feeding the toys in Project Playtime, because all the toys could completely kill him if they wanted to.

I personally believe that Sleep Well was actually talking about the children wanting to be free from their Bigger Bodies and the Prototype doing the Hour of Joy so that he can do just that, to have every single monster KILLED (evidenced by the line, "We all fall down!") so that the children can finally move on to the afterlife and 'go to sleep.'

Just wanna come at this from a different angle. So your not in the same elevator as you are in the end of chapter 3 where kissy gets attacked, it’s more round and a lot more bashed up, as well as you can hear poppy screaming “kissy!” In the background it’s the exact same voice like from chapter three but it’s happening a lot further away so you are not the player character in chapter 4 trailer. Another thing is that when the pov enters the room there appears to be something like an offering on top of the tv a corpse (food?) of some kind from another toy. Only for you to turn around and see yarnaby somewhat slowly open his mouth, not in an aggressive way at all, it’s stated he’s cat/dog like in terms of behaviour so I would chalk this up to him “happy panting” after chasing something down killing it and bringing it to this person(the pov) almost as if he’s look for validation and appreciation for catching his owner some food and giving it to him as a gift, like a cat leaving a dead bird on your doorstep. I do believe that it’s Harley we are seeing through in this pov yes he went away for a while but this could’ve been for any reason as well as leaving yarnaby to create a toxic relationship of “see? You can’t do anything without me, you need me” but that’s just pure speculation on my part it could’ve been a plethora of other reasons for his departure. If the prototype is following us at this point he may be considering trying to use us to get his old life back but in seeing Harley decides to go for him instead? Who knows I’m very well invested in this game and I feel like they get better with every realise so I can’t wait for chapter four and to get the chance to theories more

What if the prototype is like a "camera" for Harley. That's why it has been popping up at the end of chaper 2 and 3 The prototype is following us to see where we are at. Then, telling Harley where we are at so he can plan for when we do eventually meet him. In return, the prototype can kill off the bigger bodies or even the little toys to build it a body.

That's actually a really sick theory that the final chapter ends with us getting to where the bigger bodies were made and essentially getting the Mike treatment in Sister Location. Oh God... Same time while very far-fetched imo, it'd also be pretty cool if somehow someway Harley Sawyer is still alive and that 1006 is some kind of anti-hero helping us along, inadvertently or not. If the Smiling Critters are really easy to use as vessels, That would explain why the Nightmare Critters exist. Thanks to the lore book, We know that the Smiling Critters were a disaster in sales. Why would there be a spin-off for something that was a marketing disaster, Not just in sales, But with the Catnap nightmare gas controversy. It might be possible that the Nightmare Critters were never really meant to be released, Just an in-house reason to keep something Smiling Critter adjacent in order for Playtime to preform more experiments involving the BBI project. A baseline for future experiments.

I have a theory about Yarnaby. So in the ARG we learn that Yarnaby becomes loyal to those who help him and are around him a lot (such as Harley Sawyer). I think that Yarnabby WILL be a sort of antagonist in the beginning of the chapter, but will slowly become loyal to us. We may even be able to turn Yarnaby against Harley if he appears in this chapter.

Actually, we do know when The Hour Of Joy takes place- 1995, alongside (maybe) Project Playtime. Poppy Playtime chapters take place in 2005. Also, 1006 is basically The Mimic but kind-of better (just my opinion).

1006 is not the firtst bbi. It's experiment 1160, which is probably Boxy Boo. Also, as people have said, the person in the elevator might not be our protagonist, since Poppy's screams sound like they're far away. Not only that, Poppy is not with us at all. So who is it? Harley Sawyer. It's weird that Yarnaby doesn't attack us immediately. I think Harley in the story so far videos is actually Harley. His voice sounds natural, but when 1006 mimics him in chapter 3, his voice sounds more robotic. Also, he says this: " Simple, but a useful metric for us." How would this be 1006 if he talks about how testing children is a useful metric? I do really think that the doctor is alive.

i like to imagin that nigthmare critters are accually good like imagin us thinking they were evil but when we face them they are friendlly to us beacuse we killed catnap who was actyflly trying to kill them so they join our side and by our side i mean US AS THE PLAYER not poppy and eventually when we save poe from yarnaby beacuse of the crow yarnaby placed on the tv makes me think it went after poe they will reveal both poppy and prototype are evil and we get to keep them as our little friends in the end of the story

It's not five chapters though, Mob Entertainment already stated it will be more than five though we don't know exactly how many, most likely six or seven, either way that puts chapter 4 right in the center of the story not toward the end, I don't see them revealing that much more this chapter than they have in previous ones.

Ive thought from the jump that yhe prototype is Elliot and he wants revenge on the people who played God in his company. Playtime co already tried to pun a child murder on him after they turned him into the Prototype. I still think the POV character is Rick. He's the only named person in every chapter, who we dont know where they fit in. We know he has anger issues, we know hes been demoted and promoted again. I think he got close enough to the top, learned the secret, tried to stop it but playtime had to get rid of him. I'm going to figure they couldn't just kill him or turn him into a toy without someone snooping around so maybe he missed the hour of joy cause the company had him imprisoned? It is ten years after so tjat could be why it took him so long. Also, meta reason I think Rich is the PoV character, Rich is voiced by Michael Kovach. You dont leave Angel Dust and Jax as some nobody in your story. Hes like the most popular voice actor on KZbin for the last 4 years.

OkAY first great video but they do both to create the toys, during chapter 3 in the delusional chase in the radio we hear key bones and organs were removed from a corpse most likely from playtimes actions used to make a toy. (Ik its a delision but its most likely true)

I do think chapter 4 will reveal Sawyer to be the man behind everything, but it won't end there. There will be a Chapter 5 and that's when we fight to put an end to him once and for all. Sawyer, whatever form he turns out to be, will NOT make this easy for us.

Perhaps the toy creatures are similar to Chucky. The soul is transferred into the plastic body but as it adapts to its new form it becomes more biological over time. Ie. bleeding, organs, etc.
