@@TheMickellPickell thanks for making these incredible motion-manga-vids..it cannot be easy to identify the motion and key pieces of action/characters in some of the more (most?) complex (busy?) panels in any manga that i've ever read...you are quite the dedicated artist. Like other Made in Abyss fans on KZbin i am shocked that your channel has not blown up more in that it seems almost vital to see these in order to truly understand/enjoy the latter chapters whilst we wait for the upcoming season. Buzz is exponentially growing for Made in Abyss as season 2 approaches and i imagine that your channel will become more popular then. I look forward to your work.

Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it! Value is a very expendable thing. It can be determined by varying principles. Value is treated as various things within this village. An example is limbs, the body parts of the villagers and others contribute. But value can also be based on action. An example would be that some members of the village want people to step on them, or fill them with tubes. If these actions have been made, a person's *value* increases. It's a rather convoluted and crazy topic but to put it in an easier light: *Value can be anything of desire* whether it be a physical thing (like a body part) or a request.

For some reason, "human parts" tend to uphold a lot of value in this village. Likely because all of its inhabitents are no longer human but Narrahate instead. Which makes humans a very rare substance.

Sadly the only made in abyss manga videos ive produced prior to this one are the Reg Vs Bondrewd fight and Chapters 1 and 2. I would love to have animated the whole manga but what stops me are two things. 1) My time is super limited due to my fluctuating full time hours at work and streaming. 2) I would not like to take away watching the anime as an experience away from the hard work of Kinema Citrus by uploading content thats free to view if that makes any sense. Thanks so much for caring about this kind of content though!! That's super sweet

The video itself is quite well done. Mickell. Good work. However, I must voice my opinion that the Mangaka's work has really gone downhill after the Bondrewd arc finished. The plot is obscure, the motivations are cloudy and what's happening in the action scenes are very unclear to me. The very concept of the Narehate is illogical. 'I'm happy to be eaten because it increases the village's value!" Huh? What? Let's get back to the main plot, going down to the 7th layer. Is Lyza actually still alive? Finding her has been Riko's motivation all along, but we seem to have totally lost track of that goal.

Also, I'm trying to imagine an anime adaptation that would appeal to fans of the first season's adaptation. The Bondrewd arc, yes, that would work. This Narhate village stuff? I can't really visualize it. It would have to be dramatically altered.

Well everything it's still obscure and cloudy (even if we had some vague but that i think will explained answers) because the characters had been into this village for like 7/8 chapters, and it's very little for a place this big, if you take the fact that Bonedrewd arc took 2/3 volumes to complete. We're now getting to the juicy part. It feel maybe a little vague just because the manga it's pretty slow to come out (that it's understendable seeing the quality of the drawings) and so the plot feel slow while in reality we got very much information and new things in the latest chapters. Even if yes, the fight scenes in this chapter were pretty confusional

Thank you very much for the comment regarding the video, I really do appreciate it! And thank you for voicing your opinion! I absolutely love talking about this franchise so please feel free to rant as much as you wish! In regards to what you've mentioned, I agree that the Bondrewd arc set up an exceptional bar, and getting to that level again is going to be very difficult. The Bondrewd Arc was by far the best storywise as well as illustrated (that is in reference to Reg and Bondrewd going toe to toe with each other). I also agree that an adaptation of this part will be very difficult, a lot of information regarding the Narhate Village will have to be told more effectively and less trivial. I also agree that the action scenes in this chapter in particular was hard to follow at first, but because I took time with each frame due to animating each and every panel in this chapter, it became much clearer. I personally however must reinstate that the point you made about Riko's motivation however isn't wrong but they actually clarified that in an older chapter. She mentions that she started her journey adventuring into the abyss to find her mother, but she quickly establishes to Prushka that it may simply be an excuse now. Riko wants to see what lies at the bottom so desperately now. I think its great that our trio happen to have these ideals swing from side to side as that is a common feature in humans. I do think now the manga is starting to explore the peak in this arc but I cannot be certain. Again though! Mega super appreciate your comment! I fricken love talking about this!

Actually, I have speculated elsewhere that Riko's quest was in fact the result of her being brought back from the dead by the Vessel relic, It seems that it instills the urge to go to the bottom of the Abyss in whatever it reanimates. So yes, her wanting to find her mother is somewhat of a rationalization for a desire that she cannot otherwise explain. That doesn't change the fact that it is still a major motivation for her. She wouldn't even stay at the Seeker camp for a bit longer to cave raid with Marulk, despite the fact that she would have enjoyed it. Tarrying at the Narehate village seems out of character. Also, bringing back "blob Mitty" at all is sort of screwing with our emotions, after we invested so much angst in her backstory and death scene. It would be a different story if somehow "pre-blob" Mitty were recreated, but as it is, Ninachi should just want to have her euthanized again,

Very good point dude! It was very apparent, even Ozen said that the moment Riko was born she was always so interested in venturing down the abyss. The point you made about her wishing to not part with Malrulk earlier is also a good reference to make here! Again, I still think that her lingering desire to reach the bottom is great because her motivation changes so quickly. I think its definitely realistic that way as motivation or drivers are affected by time and circumstance. I do agree that the "Mitty" appearance has really played with the overall impact of her demise earlier on and its really hard to pinpoint where Akihito is heading but I still believe that his reasoning for this decision will pay off with time. But that just might be the MiA fanboy side of me talking xD
