My major concern, which I've noticed since Chapter 4, is that they keep nerfing all the fun items into the ground. It's fine to lower the damage, but when you remove the very thing that made an item what it is or make it difficult just to attain it's very glory, it just gets annoying for me. When pertaining to this season, I never even got to use the wings till the final week of the season because I was struggling to find time to play games

As someone who started in season 1 of this chapter, season 1 was amazing. I was having some great times despite being a noob. The problem I'm having is the constant collabs, which seem to be targeted around making money rather than benefiting the game. All weapons should be hitscan, unless you have aim trained for years it's pretty much impossible to aim with bullet drop. FIX RANKED AS WELL EPIC PLEASE in gold everyone is a bot and I get to plat and suddenly I'm playing with diamond players who have been playing for years? Creative matchmaking is broken I can't get a match who isn't 10-0ing me or getting 10-0ed by me so no good practice. Ranked got worse with the re-addition of cars and now in ch5 s4 without the jetpack it's impossible to rotate in scrims/tournaments without being beamed epic put the jet pack in comp please.

My biggest problem with this chapter is that it looks so boring compared to the other ones. The guns all look like they came out of early COD, the map is mostly green/ grassy, and half of the bp skins are just kinda meh.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, especially with the constant collabs, overpowered collab mythics, and the cars being made useless by the insane nerds plus numerous counters added to season 3. I also hate how they keep abandoning every season's theme after 2 or so weeks. I do highly disagree with you on bringing back hitscan, I very rarely ever enjoy hitscan in video games, it's hard to consistently hit my shots with hit scan or to trace a moving target with it.

You lost me with Season 3. Claiming the game would be perfectly balanced if Season 3 was in its launch form has to be some twisted joke. The discourse from casuals is so annoying. Listen, I know how competitive players can be with changes in Fort. They have a tendency to overly bitch and moan. But Season 3’s launch was broken. The cars were fun in Cars vs Cars battles, but Car vs Player battles were simply unfair. There needed to be counters at launch. The Magneto Power complaint was weird to me, maybe because I only play builds but it was a pretty fair weapon. It's strong, but it's easy to counter, it's fun, and if you don't want to go against cars then you force the player to engage in battle. I don't know you have a problem with the superpower mythics but not the cars in their launch form. Once again. Maybe because I'm a builds player, but the superpower mythic, while harder to fight, is fair. Also the running away thing has been a thing since Chapter 1 and it's not even at its worst here. Remember rift-a-go's. Shockwaves themselves are more annoying than nitro or the magneto power. I think Chapter 5 is the worst chapter and it's fundamentally flawed, but not because alot of the complaints this video mentioned. But you did hit the nail on the head with collabs. Fortnite is officially the collab game now. They do nothing with their themes or identity, it's just collabs every second. And with the whole Disney and FN stuff, I don't see it getting any better in the future.

@@Soporiflc yeaah getting cover and highground is really different and harder because it all depends on where you're standing and if you know the location from the top of ur head since you cant build not to mention something like captain america's shield which will either take a LOT of your health and healing items or just win the fight immidiatly if you're in the middle of the map at the end of the match since you cant really find any cover on this map or worse yet someone can combo the jetpack with the with the shielf and zoom across the sky at the speed of light and hit you almost every time its even worse to deal with them because of bullet drop

You know, it wasn't just collab issues. Epic seems to put more effort into IP collabs more than the actual game itself. Not to mention as well that most of the seasons felt two-faced. What I mean is epic would release a season and then (Either in files or promotion) they always slip up and content evidence start to emerge.

As a complete casual and someone who just bearly got into Fortnite during December of last year i gotta say Chapter 5 season 2 and 3 were super fun. I thought Fortnite was cringe and for 7 year olds but i take it back its a cool game. However they fumbled so hard with Myths and Mortals. Hate the cars all you want from Wrecked but at least they stuck with the theme and even with the Magneto stuff at least it ties in with the next season. Myths and Mortals just got overshadowed by all the Avatar stuff that doesn't even fit with the theme. I wished that instead of Avatar they included Persona 3 content since it ties with the whole Greek theme which us funny because people thought they would collab judging by Persona 3 Reload's release, the theme, and I think the name Fortnite Reload was leaked also? But anyways, Wrecked has Metallica which fits with the Nitrodrome and Pirates of the Caribbean which fits because of ship wrecks. Ship wrecks, Fortnite Wrecked haha get it? Avatar just seems out of place and the time spent making the weapons could've just been gone into giving the other characters items like what if Aphrodite had a really good healing item, and Poseidon had a really good item that grants a lot of shields. Not only that but they decided to overshadow the theme even more by adding Star Wars crap. Myths and Mortals has to be like the most neglected child i ever seen a company do besides Nintendo with F Zero. At least it gave us the Aphrodite skin aka the one i use all the time.

I don't really agree with all of you opinions but there are also other points I want to really point out: The Gun play change is understandable since you could just add scopes to any weapon and is the main point in Chapter 5 (wich got ruined because there is no modbench to find anymore wich completly ruins this mechanic). Don't really understand as to why you hate that tiny island that much (it's really insignificant in the grand sheme of things). Cars being busted from the beginning was something that I noticed right away so I took a break from the game until the very last weeks of it. Super powers being annoying is a good point but in some cases it's still managable to beat them. The Cybertruck didn't just make anysense to be in the game as it doesn't just look bad, but also bugged out the fist weapons from season 3 (the weapon wouldn't do anything). What makes these collabs not so special anymore is that it's already being teased in the game files wich ruins the fun factor. Own summery of the season of chapter 5: Season 1 is a decent start into the Chapter and had introduced 3 new cool modes wich were really good side products (was the only season were I have managed to reach lv 210 or something). Season 2 was great but had it's flaws (mainly the avatar collab powers). Season 3 was just busted from the beginning on build and zero build and for the ranks it was justified since ranked was more about skill and not about you having a turret on your car. Season 4 is still too fresh so I pass for now.

I didn't start playing until about half way through c5s1 so I'm definitely not a sweat. I find myself wishing I was as good during season one as I am now, because there was at least some semblance of balance and I feel like I would have had more fun. The medallions were not overpowered and the most powerful weapons in the game were the reaper and the auto shotgun, and they at least require some skill to use. Season two was bad, but not as bad. Waterbending was annoying, but at least you had to aim. Season three has been just awful. The cars were way too powerful at the start. I remember hopping in cars at the beginning of the season and getting easy wins and it just shouldn't be easy. Emp grenades (along with the nerfs) were the perfect solution. Cars are obviously still quite powerful if I still have to reserve an inventory slot specifically for car counters. It also makes zero sense that I have to risk my life to get to a weapons bunker, nervously watch for footsteps outside for the thirty seconds that I'm down there, and then spend gold that I've scrounged for in order to get a mod for my weapon, but I can hop in a car, instantly quadrupling my shield btw and then drive through a crate and instantly have a high power machine gun with unlimited ammo for free. They should have been smarter about how that was implemented. Magneto was the worst because the splash damage means you don't have to be at all accurate to hit shots. Skill based matchmaking and the inclusion of bots was supposed to help cover the skill gap, but apparently Epic feels like it hasn't gone far enough. The current solution seems to be to make overpowered, easy to use, can't miss, can't run out of ammo weapons to the loot pool so that low skill players can get a win every once in a while. I'm not overly competitive, but when I lose, if I spectate the player who killed me, I want to see a skilled player.

I got the game in c4 s5 but only started playing lots in c5 s2 so I cant say much but what I will say is the start of c5 s2 was the most fun I had in the game so far. Up until all the avatar stuff was released that just ruined combat. Not to forget how irrelevant the star wars collab was. Also nitro fists were horrendous in c5 s3 and the cars were bad too. This is a shooter game not a car game. One of my friends even quit the game because of the cars (he did get brought back a month later tho). To sum it up Over time it got worse. Next season looks cool though. I think the main problem is items where you spam like nitro fists (damn I hate those) and magneto power. I dont even use those weapons because of that. I think next season will be better though but only time will tell...

Season 4 seems to be the saving grace of ch5 ch2 OG should be as well season 4 definitely is better than season 3 and season 2 I'd even say season 1 but season 3 still was a good season that most of you will miss because of the content a 2nd Marvel season was needed to bring back hype and IOS in EU came back and Mobile launched worldwide on Samsung but I think Mobile already launched worldwide on Samsung before maybe they relaunched it I guess and this season has 1 million players than last season now it won't be as much as November 2nd when ch2 OG launches but people are starting to go back school so that may be a cause why the Marvel season isn't getting enough players

ur so right, fortnite is becoming a non skill based game, they keep adding items where you just do lots of damage by literally spam clicking and where its hard to hit you whilst u do it (water and airbending + nitro fists), then they add nitro that makes boxfighting useless. my biggest problem with this chapter and more specifcally wrecked season, is magneto power, a no skill spam click weapon with infinite uses thats easy to find and can protect you with a shield, then cars and boss cars with thousands of health, spike bumpers that do 150 damage and is near impossible to dodge and also a damn turret or rocket bomber that deletes ur health. Not to mention you can so easily run away from any fight with cars and its impossible to chase you and kill you. I 100% agree with you when you said that all people this season have mythics that shred your health when you try to fight them, or just run away, and that they have so many items to run away. Ive gotten so sick and tired of all these bs items that i just keep making alt accounts to play ranked on and stop at like elite because ranked has no cars, fists, magneto and other op bs that gives horrible players some op mythic god item that shreds you and protects you and makes you run away in mere seconds. they should really have made OG fortnite a permanent mode, the season og just has to be a side gamemode like reload that they update along with other seasons bit by bit. I dont care if OG fortnite "wont feel special anymore" if it stays forever to be played as a side gamemode, it will 1000000% be better then the horrible seasons they put out now. Just a classic good fortnite map, no running away, no magical items that shred through everything, just pure fighting skill and game sense. my advice for chapter 5: start over. Edit: also a quick thing about medallions. remove them. Think about it, medallions get contested by 99.99999% good players and the good players will all the time have the medallions, yes their location is shown on the map so everyone will try to take them down, but to be fair, you are either scared of the medallion team/player so u run away, or you fight someone/a team that has better loot than you and a whole ass medallion. Theyre pretty much making already good strong players even stronger with medallions... Edit 2: ANOTHER THING. REMOVE METALLICA BULLSHIT MUSIC FROM NITRODROME AND FROM EVERYWHERE. ITS SUCH A DUMB GIMMICK. chapter 5 is really good, the problem is your a small part of the community of this game that just plays zero build, which isnt the main gamemode of fortnite, its just a sidemode, saying chapter 5 is fundamentally flawed is like saying valorant or cs2 is fundamentally flawed cuz they ruined deathmatch mode in a update lmao, i suggest you to change the name of the video to chapter 5 zero build is fundamentally flawed. Good video tho, i do not play zero build but i can see why for example the avatar collab items are just horrendous for that gamemode.

I used to play build until this chapter. I don’t see how most my points aren’t relevant to build modes too though. Collabs dominating the season, the new shooting mechanics, pushing the actual theme to the side basically every season and vehicles being nerfed to the ground despite tons of counters being added are things that affect all modes. Also calling it a small part of the community when the player count is usually only a couple hundred thousand less than normal br just isn’t accurate.

As someone who's been playing Fortnite since 2018, and still plays Builds PLUS RANKED, Chapter 5 has been disappointment aftee disappointment, over and over again. Strong starts each season, horrible quality drop off. I look back fondly at Chapter 4 now, as much as I despised the jungle biome and the blatant drop off for the Fortnite story.

Never disrespect CH5 S1 like that ever again if you want to talk about bad chapters talk about CH3 it was so bad they had to end it early and nerfing everything in S3 was the only reason that the season was bearable and saying that only ppl that were playing competitive were complaining is just plain ignorant

I didn't really disrespect season 1 of this chapter, it was fine. Just I don't think it was anything all that amazing. That being said CH3 just so happens to be my personal favorite chapter soooooo there's that.

Chapter 5 Season 1 was one of the worst seasons, bruh. The map was fundamentally flawed, and every location blended in and felt so boring. The launch, for some reason, nerfed movement speed, which made the game a SLOG to play. The new games were mostly new. Lego Fort was cool, Rocket Racing was kind of meh, and Festival is a fun rhythm game. But BR was so lame.

@@Saxxy_Mann I played exclusively build until CH4 and mostly build during CH4, my team as a whole decided to make the move to ZB during CH5, and I didn’t contest it bc build was just getting more and more annoying and sweaty as time went on. Although tbf zero build is just about as bad these days.
