I keep hearing themes that we in 2024 are still dealing with, and I keep being shocked to hear that they were coming up back in the times referenced in this book. I guess I shouldn’t be. Pope Francis has been said (did he himself say it?) to be the fulfillment of Vatican II. This is quite clear in hearing this reading in late 2024.

As with so many other developments, the Church was the first the feel the winds of change. Only recently do we see that the postmodern condition too was first germinated in Her, for how else describe a situation in which the pontiff, no true pontiff, must be obeyed, even though his actions make him thoroughly unworthy of trust if any sort?

I'm just a regular trad Catholic who has only stepped into an SSPX chapel a few times for Holy Mass. This series has been very eye opening. Its hard not to be incredulous when listening to the correspondence between Pope Paul VI and Abp Lefebvre. V2 more consequential than Nicea? V2 called for a new Mass? I was still in my mother's womb when V2 ended, but I know that's a canard! Paul VI's implementation of Novus Ordo(s) and his attempts to kill the TLM just as legit as Pius V codifying the Mass of the Ages? Truth is indeed stranger than fiction!
