WH+ should give you access to scanned copies of all the old GW rulebooks. Like all of them. Gorkamorka, inquisitor, 1st 2nd 3rd editions etc… Would be a massive value add to be able to access rules and datasheets for the old game systems.

Its interesting how they're framing Old World as a return to Warhammer Fantasy to investors, when on social media its being framed (to fans/hobbyists) as a separate IP/game. Along the lines of this "this isn't the Warhammer Fantasy you know" but it is set within a world that we're slowly rewriting (the first Old World book was a disaster)

​@@gunman292929depends if you're talking about the setting as a whole or the first book entry for it. The first book is just terrible. On top of having major decisions in the story and it's characters being driven by the authors modern "politics", it's generally a confused work that fails to be for new comers or old blood (not enough context for new people, new/retcon lore will piss off old players). If we're talking the wider setting, in general, then it's been mostly benign - largely because GW hasn't really talked about or released much on it. However, they have made some bad decisions regarding it - with two of the more prominent examples being returning Settra to his first incarnation (aka a one-note villian, which nobody liked or thought interesting, hence why it was changed after 6ed), and downplaying Malakai Makaisson's achievements. TLDR: TOW is in real danger of being another case of people who don't care about a setting coming in, retconning things in an adjacent setting, and then claiming that "things were always like that".

Cavill is natoriously difficult to work with, a lot of the "he just cares about the lore" is PR. I have nothing against the guy, but the whole "king of the nerds" thing is basically fake. Also GW is HYPER protective of their IP. They don't need Cavill to ensure any 40K product feels like 40K. If the deal falls through I wouldn't be surprised if it's because GW don't think Amazon will do it properly.

Warhammer+ feels like such a waste. You can literally find better lore/bat rep and painting channels on youtube. The animation, for the most part, feel all underbudgetted, I mean look at the trailer for INFINITY: Paradise lost, also a miniature game IP with a fraction of the user base of GW stuff and it looks like they threw MONEY at the animation quality. Regardless of how good a game Infinity N4 is GW should always outgun them on the funding front.

I think when it comes to Warhammer+ they need to try and keep up with the animations. The main reason I stopped my subscription is because the animations are very few and far between, they're not bad by any means, I really really enjoyed all of the animations, favourites being Pariah Nexus, Hammer and Bolter and The interrogator. The lore masters thing is alright but I can just get that info for free on youtube. I really think if they continue with the animations and get a decent time schedule for them they'd get more subscribers but it feels like they aren't too bothered about it which is a shame. P.S. Where the hell is the next part of ASTARTES?!?!

I still havent gotten WH+ since there hasnt been a model worth $60 to me. I almost got the Assassin, which I'd consider worth it by GW's standards. However, at the time there was barely any content, so I didnt see a point. Now that there is a considerable amount more and some of it pretty good, maybe theyll finally get a sub out of me. If it's a Blood Angel I hope its something really worth while like a nice display piece, similar to Bayards Revenge a couple years ago. And if its not to my liking maybe the AoS model will be. And if I dont like both, well then see ya next year lol. I do think they should branch off a bit and include a model for HH and Old World as well as itll give people more of a chance to find a reason to sub

The new edition for Heresy has me cautiously optimistic right now. I don’t want this game to follow the 40k release schedule, the reason I’m selling my 40k and getting Heresy is because I expect fewer edition changeovers, the last edition lasted almost a decade for example. I’m only optimistic because I’ve heard it’s more of a 2.5, rather than 3.0. I want them to release a new core book, fix the things that slipped through the first design pass and leave all the army books and campaign books valid. That would be ideal. Basically just an extremely thorough chapter approved, or I guess legion approved.

I feel like most people just have warhammer plus for the miniature and app. The animations are more of a side thing sadly. Also I struggle to believe that Old World is doing well. Atleast where I live the products dont sell out or very slowly and you can count the players on one hand. Best reason I saw to pick up Old World is for some kit bashing for Aos Units.

It's not a new heresy edition They are just tidying up the rules and factions messed up On release. It's still 2.0 There were alot of testing issues and quality control issues in the heresy release and they are fixing in a big fix

We have agreed to enter into an agreement to potentially agree on terms of agreement to agree to work on creative guidelines to potentially guide future agreements. In all seriousness. This is big non-news. Nothing has moved forward. I bet Amazon is like, "Wouldn't it be cool if..." and GW is like, "Uh. NO. That is not what this universe is about." I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that they must complete anything by end of year. They could extend and renegotiate. It's probably taking them a year just to teach the Amazon creative team the lore and setting.

Considering the money I'm paying for Netlfix, Amazon, Xbox, etc. I'd expect something a little more substantial for my subscription before I decided to part with my money. Give me more entertainment. More models. More rules/scenarios. If they offered me access to their catalogue of video games; tv shows, animations, and movies; a mini per month; and maybe an "Adventurer's League" type deal with small scenarios the subscribers could play to effect a wider living campaign... Maybe then. Maybe then would I gladly part with my money. The increased revenue could then, if they have any modicum of sense, be plugged back into the service to pump out more stuff (paying for itself essentially) and growing to the size of netflix or amazon That wont happen now because of the amazon deal, but even if they attempted some of the above then my head might turn a little
