Chara - Time Machine

This song and artist has a history behind it to me. Back in 1997, I recall being 14 sitting in my best friend's basement listening to this song and drawing. This artist would become a favorite of his and often come on. I was curious, so I asked him more about it. Told me she was from Japan and at the time, there wasn't much information on artists abroad. Years would pass, and always bring me back to her music. Those years faded and so did the friendship, as he would eventually pass away. He loved Chara and her music and because of him, I loved her music. I ended up seeing her 2 years ago in Osaka live. What an experience it was. Her around this table talking and laughing with the audience. I cried when this song came on. I could remember us in his basement drawing and laughing. Felt him there that night. Since I never got to say goodbye, it felt a proper way to do so. ***EDIT- After the concert, we went around back and Chara came out. I stood between two people, which she walked over to and handed both a feather to each of them. I know it was by chance, but I wish one of those wasn't for me, but rather for my friend. Not many artists I know hand out feathers to people, usually its just autographs.

Crazy story is I actually met Chara when I lived in Japan few years ago. After her concert, I snuck around back and there she was. Red hat giving feathers out to her fans. Feathers lol I didn't get one, but I really wanted to. complete full circle. Oneday I will get that feather and hang it on my wall for him. Love you ma man.

+Repins Watson Chara is a very good mother, she wakes up everyday 5am to cook for the children and the children love her mother too.... she has been a good wife too for Asano, the only thing that why they divorced and 2 children goes into Chara was because Asano had affairs.

I think I was 20 when I first heard this song and I listened to it obsessively like I did all Chara and Bonnie Pink songs back then because I could feel their feelings even though I couldn't find the translated lyrics back then and now that I've found them, I'm taken back with in time both by the lyrics and emotions. what a really sad but beautiful song from the loving heart; from the core of a pure female. What a massive universe of emotions that live in there. I wish I knew more but time has past by.

Yah is sad. I hear from one of my Japanese friends is that she's kinda a diva though. That aside, who knows. I'm sure they shared some really beautiful moments in time and made two wonderful children. My friend is also weirdly enough sorta friends with Asano. Small world but yeah. She is great. Still love Chara after all these years.
