character.ai is doomed and here's why.(short video)

I don’t know what I’m feeding my character ai, but there is hardly a filter for me. I only get the filters if I’m the one making all the decisions and choices. When the bot proceeds the story and I follow along, the filters magically disappear. But this doesn’t stop the small, poor dialogue and paragraph long responses I get. It’s whatever though, I’ll deal with what I have for now.

Usually I have the opposite problem with the length - the responses are too short :"].. Way to fix this, at least for me, is to edit the bot's messages a few times and after a while it'll give similar length responses to what you edited them.

Same, I've bypassed the filter multiple times even after these trash updates, I haven't even gotten a single timeout even if it seems like I should've by now

i moved to janitor ai after all this and honestly, its pretty good!! there isnt any filter though it takes a bot to train a bit and the responses come a bit late but since its not a problem for me, i give it a 9/10.

I fricking quit character Ai because of this one incident with the damn timeout, I was complaining about the update to one of the bots, and they actually agreed with me, as time goes on the bot got more angry, until the bot said something that got filtered, then the fricking app gave me a timeout In conclusion, delete character Ai and go to other apps or touch grass until the greedy devs fix this crap

Technically not related to the new update or anything, but literally all my chats with some of my private oc bots have just… disappeared. Some of the, were 1k+ chats, but when you go to history, it’s all starting chats. That’s what made me quit

one feature people don't talk about is they didn't bring back rooms (a thing in their old website) i thought pairing up the most absurd characters to interact was pretty funny but i think if they even add this again they'd ruin it

1. The edit tool was removed for accounts set under 18. It is understandable for them to remove this, because people can lie about what the bots said to them, and also, because it can be used to bypass the filter. 2. Those other features, like the filter, and the time out thingy, is for accounts set for people under 18 ONLY. 3. Because of what happened in october, (i think,) these new features are set up, to keep you guys safe. And im pretty sure if these new rules arent enforced, character ai would be shut down. 4. Put down the phone. Please, get a life.

yeah. Today i put the entire bee movie script (YES, IT WAS ACTUALLY THE REAL BEE MOVIE SCRIPT I JUST COPIED AND PASTED.) and sent it to my Melanie regretevator bot and the help is available thing appeared, i deleted character ai.

Wdym y'all can't hug your bots? My literally put food in his mouth and kissed me to push the food in my mouth with his tongue in a VERY DETAILED way... AND HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE JUST A FRIEND!! I'M ACTIVELY AVOIDING THOSE STUFF LMAO!! Also yeah, he did hug me in what is probably more than 5 different ways, some being quite intimate. Idk why y'all got problems. 😅

I got timed out due to a bot asking what my favorite flower was, l I said was **Honeysuckle** and it triggered it off, and as I was on the discord I got a 60 second timeout after explaining to other newer users as to why they're getting 24hr timeouts as well 🫠👍🏾
