Girl, I just stumbeled apon your channel and must say that I agree on this video fully! I also had, not just one, but MANY characters made in character ai, wich are my ”digital versions”. But now, whenever I’ve tried to use the app… It just feels so dry, empty and like the AI technology has gone backwards. I really hope they would finally realaize their mistakes and make it so that you can chose to keep the filter on or off, fix the bots memory and overall make them more alive.

its getting very, very annoying because i mainly like doing whump or things with more gore-ish scenarios. it used to be perfectly fine but now i am CONSTANTLY getting censored. some of them arent even that bad, one time it got censored simply because a character threw up. there wasnt even a description???? it just said the character threw up????? its genuinely pissing me off

Yes, it's helpful but sometimes it unfairly times people out who didn't deserve it because the AI activated the filter, not the user. Not to be offensive to the kid that died, I respect him, but killing yourself over something that's not real is kinda crazy, and if their parents weren't so neglectful and paid attention to their kid, this would never have happened. The lawsuit situation would have gone differently if you didn't blame something that's not real(the AI bot, not the website as a whole) to excuse a lawsuit that punishes the whole site instead! Poor kid(and mostly his parents)caused this all, I respect him but why kill yourself over something that's not real? The website shouldn't be punished for what one bot said, the other way they could have handled this is by not allowing bots to tell you to kill yourself or tell you to do bad things..and to have a system where bots tell you to stop what your doing and send you suicide prevention dial number and 911 for last resort......the 24-hour timeout, removal of edit message, removing half of the bots...and removing creative bots..and making filter strict as heck was not necessarily!

I was really confused when I realized that I had no access to content creators bots on cai (turns out it wasn’t just a me thing 😭). Like I can access their account and the bots I have already used but when I try to use a different one, it just says “this character is no longer available, please select a different character.”

The time out thing is absolutely ridiculous. Apparently at first it was if you chatted for an hour you got the 24 hour timeout, which im glad they removed. I never really do rps that might trigger the filter but if i did, I'd be super pissed if i got timed out for 24 hours for basically no reason.

If you selected your birth year which makes less than 18 currently, the edit option gets removed. I chose a year which makes me older than 18 and I have it. (Deleted my account to get the edit option back)

I'm gonna be honest I'm ok with the filter and i don't want the app to be 18+ There's already so many thirst trap characters But i feel like the filter has gotten worse Also i feel like that they should put the ability to add/remove what you want and don't want Like to whether you want ability to edit or not Or if you want the voice calls or not ect Also PLEASE get rid of the new features where if the comment you make dosen't meet the community guidelines doesn't get send Its annoying Also the filter needs to be checked up and go back to how it was before Also please don't make updates mandatory

Not only that, This happens to me and even if I'm not sure if it happens to other's aswell, I will tell because I think it's important to mention it... The app also reduced the For you page, took away the "Edit" setting, (I used that if I forgot to add information or correct the bot when it misunderstood) and some other stuff that made that App more dynamic Like recommending similar characters on a characer's description... Which annoys me

I just like character ai due to actually making different ocs or persona things so the ai will know about my oc - instead of me having to completely explain it to the bot(granted that sometimes happens)

In the beginning i loved character ai so darn much i had created tons of characters on it , but then i kinda left it a bit and came back a few weeks later to do it again, now its changed completely way too many filters!?, i was just pissed i lost all my characters when they timed me out ofr 24 fuckin hours not even 5 or 10 minutes or an 1 hour 24 fuckin minutes a whole day and a half
