Character & Course DLC Predictions | Mario Golf: Super Rush

These are my predictions for the possible characters and courses that will be added into Mario Golf: Super Rush as free DLC updates. There may be more content added on top of that like extra modes or costumes even that hasn't been confirmed, but I forgot to discuss any of that here so uhh, if you have any good ideas, let me know in the comments.

Solid predictions! I also think Toadette, Birdo, and hopefully Diddy are a lock! As for my thoughts based on what you said, I think Rocky Wrench may have a better chance than Monty Mole so that they can go a bit different whilst still using the Monty model -- plus he'd be a perfect rep for an airship/cloud course. As for a Mario clone or alt version I actually think they could make a haunted Boo house course that actually surprises us all with Gooigi being that all character.

I am here after they released the last update. You got 3 (Toadette, Koopa Troopa, and Shy Guy) out of... 5 DLC characters. Was really hoping for more but good predictions anyway. Ninji and Wiggler were definitely cool additions.

Weird that they barely supported this game after release. Aces and World Tour had a lot more DLC. It's a shame because the base game isn't exactly brimming with content.

Love your predictions! I would love to see that exact character roster except the only thing I might change is switch out Luma and Dry Bowser with Hammer Bro and Fury Bowser. Hammer Bro is in the story mode and it would make sense to see him added along with the other ones you mentioned, and Fury Bowser would just be super cool to have rather than Dry Bowser who was in Aces. As for courses, World Tour had six DLC courses and I would love to see that many for this game. At the very least I want the courses to be more interesting and exciting as the ones we have now are just bland and lifeless. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are only three courses added though.

Fury Bowser would actually be a really cool choice. And yeah, I'm on the same page with the courses. I hope the DLC can give some more vibrant mario like environments, because the courses in this game are such a step down from the previous games.

I've been watching the past few videos you've done for the Party and Golf games, and I really enjoy your chill demeanor. Glad to see we're mostly on the same page with predictions too! I'm hoping for a few more oddball picks character-wise, since those always generate hype. I have my fingers crossed for Delfino Plaza, too, but BOY would a gravity-altering course for the Comet Observatory be cool 😍 I hope you have more content like this in the future!

I think we will get Madame Broode from Super Mario Odyssey when the New Donk City course releases. I think it would be weird to add this course without a character from Super Mario Odyssey. And Madame Broode would fit because she just looks like a rich woman and Golf is considered a sport for the rich so she makes sense. I can already see her using her Golden Chain Chomp for the sprint. As for other courses I think it's gonna be 3(Including the New Donk City Course) I think one of the other Courses is gonna be a Snow/Ice themed course because that theme is missing. It could be something like Sherbet Land from Mario Kart. As for the other I think it could be Luigi's Mansion. A spooky theme is also missing. Doesn't have to be Luigi's Mansion though . It could also be Last Resort from Luigi's Mansion 3 or some other random spooky themed course. Honorable mentions would be a Rainbow Road inspired course or an underwater theme would also be cool with underwater physics.

@curtando NS1 yeah that would be cool too but if Nintendo wants to add them they have to add all 4 of them because it would be weird to have one of them but not the others(it would be like adding Morton but not adding the other Koopalings). I don't think they would give 4 spots to them when there are other popular characters that haven't been added yet. But if they somehow do add the Broodals that would be cool too. I wouldn't mind it.

There are 3 saves you can use in arcade mode at one time. So three squares in the roster are used for the Mii's. I'm quite certain an alignment of the roster box will be a factor in determining how many newer characters get added.

I would be okay with a moon course and an underwater course. Cappy as a playable character along with other wonderful Mario characters. Ring challenge or coin battle, effects randomizer for each shot, XC ( cross country golf) and a putt putt mini game with a few weird obstacles added to the green's. More costumes and club designs. And for the love of God, please fix the way to Top View works.

Toadette and New Donk City were confirmed and is in the game. As of who I don’t think will make it is Luma since Rosalina is already in the game and has Lumas shown already. The rest of the courses and characters are probably going to mostly be in. I would think that courses like Cap Kingdom and maybe Bob-omb battlefield would make it as well. (There are colored yoshis as rewards in ranked so a alternative Mario may work)

So the 2nd update JUST dropped and its got Two new characters AND two new courses - characters are Koopa Troopa and Ninji and the courses are Blistery Basin (snow level) and Spiky Palms (Beach level though tbh it looks a lil too much like the desert level already in the game as its not really on the water like a 'pebble beach' style course like the beach one in Toadstool Tour)

The fact that toadette wasn’t playable in the base roster was shocking so I’d say she’s more than a lock. Obviously then we also have shy guy, Koopa troopa, Birdo, and Diddy Kong that are also pretty much locks. I’d also say it’s a safe bet we’ll see Kamek and Nabbit cause they were both in world tour and nabbit was also put into Mario kart tour as a new character like Pauline and king bobomb so I could see him making a similar appearance. I would love to see luma and dry bowser but I have a feeling they’re gonna leave them as tennis exclusive characters for whatever reason. With seven more slots I see us getting Pom Pom, boom boom, spike and hammer bro all as pretty likely candidates and then some wild cards with Petey Piranha, Plessie as promotion for a bowsers fury stage or something, and E Gadd. It’s about time we see Plessie and E Gadd show up as playable characters in these Mario spin offs but I’d also really like to see Cappy, petey, and Dixie but I doubt that’ll happen

Here after the last update.... does anyone else feel weirded out that there are models in the story mode such as Birdo and Goomba that are not playable in game? I understand not putting characters like Nabbit or Lakitu because they don't have the right models but honestly I think it's just strange that they dropped development so early

I don't like how most of your character predictions are just characters from aces. Don't get me wrong I like mario tennis aces's character roster but I want Mario Golf: Super Rush's character roster to be unique. I want more characters like Charging Chuck and King Bom-Omb. Like why not add Ashley and 9-Volt from Wario Ware? Or the viruses from Doctor Mario? Or Pom Pom. And maybe add the thwimps? Or hey Some of ace's bosses got promoted to playable character status so why not add (SPOILERS FOR MARIO GOLF: SUPER RUSHES STORY MODE) the sentient suit of armor with lightning powers or the snow king? Or the mama cat from bowser's fury. Or maybe add a Ninji or Snifit? Or the angry sun.

It cant be just me who is sitting looking & listening to this & not going ballistic as Mario Golf: Super Rush was released way too soon with barely any content & are told dlcs are to come out eventually to make the big bigger & more enjoyable... " Wrong " This game is so bare bones with regards to practically everything that was in all the previous Mario Golf game's & waiting to see when Nintendo release new content is rediculious as these characters/courses & any other dlcs should already have been within the game at launch & as per usual since its a Nintendo Exclusive this mean the price will not drop for the digitally downloadable version & every Game Store i've shopped at are selling preowned copies of Nintendo Switch Games that are Exclusives & 3rd Party Game's that are only 2 pounds/dollars or euros cheaper than the new copy & with such an absolute joke of selling preowned Nintendo Switch game's at such high prices its best to just forget about buying the preowned Switch game's & instead pay a few pounds more & buy the New Game instead... It has always been a pain with regards to the sheer basic minimum of prices dropping to a reasonable price for most Nintendo Games since the WII/WII U & now the Switch as selling preowned game's at those prices will have Game Store's raking in huge profits from game's that are only a few £2 cheaper than a new game at £40 to £50... I managed many independent Game Store's & eventually went into partnership & opened my own game's store but it didnt take long for huge corporate businesses that had nothing to do with the video gaming industry to buy into the gaming industry & they went on to open huge game's stores/bought the indy game's stores or the indy games stores folded because of the rediculous prices these bigger corporate owned games stores sold their games at & they bought game's in huge orders to get discounts & it didnt take long for indy game's store's that had been opened since the 8 bit & 16 bit game's console's onwards to get pushed aside as these huge corporate companys saw that there was huge profits to eventually be made in the business of video gaming but at first they'd had to sell their stock cheaper than the indy stores who were basically only making a few pound off of New Game's as any profits that kept us in business came from selling preowned game's but we never sold preowned games that were so overly priced that it made more sense to just buy the new version of these game's but this didnt happen over night... It took them a few years of selling games via a business description known as a " Loss Leader " Which meant they sold new game's at the price they paid for them from the stockists who provided them with their games & often they sold them cheaper that what they paid for them & this was a smart tactic as gamer's who used to only shop at indy games stores soon bought into buying these cheaper game's as those corporate bussiness could afford to lose profits as long as it meant they eventually had control of the video gaming market & not long after preowned game's were so expensive it was best to buy new & i honestly dont see how & why they are doing this as game's store's only make a few pound off of selling a new game but they can make their profits when selling preowned game's but never did we sell preowned game's at such a ridiculously high price & this whole attitude of profit making soon turned into what has now also fast become a joke & thats buying dlcs that should already within the game at launch when it sold for their full RRP... Microsoft & Sony have both been guilty of spoon feeding gamer's with so much payable dlcs but even though the dlcs for Mario Golf: Super Rush will be free this is not how video game's should be launched & it fast got out of hand with the Xbox One & PS4 but at least we thought that Nintendo didnt do this, only for them to also do the same and (again) although the dlc for this game will be free the game should have been delayed until it was totally completed as Gamer's are being duped into thinking they are getting more gaming content but they are not as most games are missing so much content that the only way to get it is to buy all of these many DLCs & no gamer should be happy about paying full price for a game only to find its missing way too much content but then game's developer's of this game try to save face & announce that they will release free dlc in the future & gamers are lulled into thinking the games developer's are giving them more when in fact they have deliberately withheld video gaming content so they can release it later for a price or for free so that gamer's will think they are getting even more gaming content when they are not & if gamer's dont say enougj is enough its going to keep happening... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
