That’s always a matter of reference. Always. You have an idea. Then look for something in real life. Then mix it and apply your style. Also I draw daily and make study drawings of poses, still life and everything else, so I simply use my experience mostly. No matter what, even Michelangelo and DaVinci used references. Just don’t redraw photo. Use it, but don’t redraw.

It’s so easy 😀 in Illustrator press Save As and choose Psd in the options below! Then you’ll need to manage layers in Ps a bit, but that’s not a big deal. Anything else you want to know?

There are few options. You can also convert illustrator layers for photoshop in illustrator itself. The option is in the layers panel somewhere.
