What is the point of giving the 1, 2 subscript as well as the ', '' superscript? Since they both depend on the symmetry of the molecular axis, one with 1 will always be ' and one with 2 will always be ''.

To know the values of subscripts 1 and 2 or u and g you considered Sigma xz as milecular plane, but if we consider Sigma yz as moleculer plane then the subscripts of row 2 and 3 will swap. What would be its effect on molecular properties if we consider Sigma yz as the molecular plane.

It is not necessary that l2/m2/n2 should be -1 as l, m, n can be -ve so may be l can be -2 and m can be 1 and n =0 the. Also it satisfy the equation. Btw overall course was nice.

Mam thanku for your wonderful and effortful class.. I had a doubt.. Wen C4 AOS is aaplied on CH4 for S4,its not giving equivalent molecule.. In original molecule the 2H2 atoms in the plane is above Bt after C4 its below
