Mam according to your formula for Cn , character for n=3 ,i.e., angle= 120° , character comes out to be 0. But when character calculated from matrix (let's say for C3z , the character comes out to be 1 . Are there exceptions for the formula?

Each C3 is actually 2 C3 because C3 has C3(1),120 deg and C3(2),240 deg .. so 4x2=8
