@Paradox, really enjoying the game now! Thank you so much. A couple of things though: Can't assign monarchs or consuls to lead the legions...and the legions can't be assigned to a given province which would help out alot with stabilising disloyal territories. Please add these features back, they're all that's missing now...

Hey Paradox, I am too lazy to post in your forums to report a bug so i am posting it here. If you are playing a monarchy males and females in your family which is not in your direct line do no marry, these causes a problem as the royal family runs out of males to place in offices which then forces the player to keep adopting. Another problem is royal marriages to foreign monarch rulers, when both children comes of age the royal marriage does not happen even though they are betrothed to each other again stopping the royal family from marrying.

I miss so much the characters ambitions, still don't know why paradox removed something that added so much to roleplay, and players that didn't enjoy roleplaying could just basically ignore that feature as it wasn't so impactful. :(

I haven't watched Surreal's videos so I can't speak to his work generally, but I'm not sure he was the best choice for these videos. I find myself having to go back frequently to listen again, as his diction is very cluttered and hard to understand.

Still completely unplayable. I started a Egypt campaign as a diadochi and the further I got into the campaign the more unstable the game got. Until the point where I had to restart the game every 15 minutes just to make it go further in time. It was also the kind of crash that still let's you click through every menu but it will not progress in time. Which had the effect of me doing allot of actions to further my conquest while in pauze only figure out after 2 minutes that the game crashed and I had to restart to do it all over again. That crash was already in the game before the Marius update and I was hoping it would've been fixed but it hasn't. I never got a troubleshoot pop up to let paradox know something happened.

Tutor them when they turn 12. Get a good royal tutor too

@@Zedpade I recommend you pin your heirs to the outliner by pressing the star (pin your ruler and the head of families too) This way you can at a glance check what the other people are doing. Also makes it easier to tutor your heirs as their status will change from "growing up" to "becoming something". You can tutor them when their status changes to "becoming something"

Yes, the free 2.0 (Marius) patch was released last week. There's also a new paid DLC, Heirs of Alexander, that was released the same day. The changes described in this series of videos are all included in the free patch as far as I know.

There must be events , decitions , assasins to remove a family permanently. Or we should make a new family not only 3 or 5 It can be 8 too. It must be up to us. I want only 1 family not 3 or 5.

Also , we should be able to unite the hordes / Turkic people (which you called them Iranian :/ ) and when there is 100 centr. We should be able to choose Monarchy. Also , it was really good thing that the tribes were training their soldiers randomly too by the tribe leaders.

Hey guys, here is my opinion in general. I still not conected with Imperator. Yes, it is much more better than version 1.0, still I can t undertand the concept of agressive expansion in ancient times, the characters and their interactions are a nigthmere, for example, why assasination atempt increase your agressive expansion and tyrany, and does not cost gold. Provincial loyalty is anothe thing I cant find reliable. The game is more unique now, but the characters are trully a pain, like CK2, being a nation centered game. I give you my opinion because I love this period of history, and I think this game could be much more better. I would like to see a less character centred game and more nation or civilization builder game, the wonders are a good Idea, but I would like to see more models and structures. I still feel frustrated when playing Imperator, I hope one day I can enjoy it like Total War Rome II.....

Same. I think that they can keep the character system to a more basic, yet, "solid" level. The next updates though, should be focused on nation building and ways to differentiate each nation, culture and religion. I do not tell the differences between Hellenic and Jewish in Imperator, as I feel the differences between Orthodox and Catholic in EU4. The same can be said for culture! Culture is a very important thing in Imperator, maybe even more important than EU4... But it is not as "highlighted" as EU 4. They need to focus more on nation building, ways to differentiate religion and culture, and, ofc, rework the trade system.

I’ve just got into it with the Marius 2.0 update and I think it’s the exact opposite of what you are saying. I’ve already put like 20 hours into it and mostly what I’ve been doing it a civilization builder game. The characters really don’t matter that much aside from loyalty and you can just bribe them away. I played a game as the Britianias (something like that they were green) and formed Albion. With that campaign I realized how much fun the game could be. It consisted of me slowly civilizing with building cities and structures, trying to move pops around to maximize my cities and expand. AE is simply there to make the game playable so you don’t blob out of control and there is some semblance too it. When Caesar invaded Gaul didn’t the Gauls all join up to try to fight him? Same thing kinda with these defensive pacts the AI make. I also love this time period and I think you should give the game another chance as the nation I played. Try to focus on becoming civilized and go for legions to make roads and stuff that was really fun.

In my case I played Egypt, and did not enjoy it. I just share my opinion because I think this game may be a masterpiece, a gemstone in the paradox pantheon.....

It's a pretty good game now after the 2.0 update. Way better than CK3 in its current state imo I'd recommend giving it a try before calling it "cringe" (what?)
