Characters & Courses Predictions - MK8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Waves 5 & 6

Characters are finally coming to Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe) for the first time in over 5 years so I decided to actually make this video. That said, and I do mean it this time - this is the last video I make of this game. Ignore the fact that I've said that for every previous video.

The Kongs and ROB would be nice to complete both the DS and Wii roster, plus ROB could keep the bottom row of non-Mario guest stars consistent. Kamek would work as a long awaited character that kept getting discarded, while Pauline and/or Petey would work as a more obscure favourite like the Koopalings to make the roster feel less surface level. Can't really lose with that selection, though there are of course some other favourites.......Nghhhh, we NEED MORE!

Although I like the idea of a 3rd part rep in Mario kart they’ve specified that returning characters would come to the dlc so everyone’s list it’s practically really similar with Diddy and Funky Kong , Petey Piranha , and Pauline

What I think is crazy is that from your original Wave 1 prediction video, besides track placement, you got 18 out of 40 tracks correct (19 if you counted SNES Mario Circuit 3 instead of SNES Mario Circuit 1). Rome was close but now we’re getting Athens Dash instead so that could almost be 20 out of 40 and 4 other tracks are highly likely to come although they may or may not appear due to other courses potentially coming instead of them. Granted, this was around the time before leaks from both 8 Deluxe and Tour were prominent as well as new Nitros and Cities being announced to come to Tour and 8 Deluxe as well. So the tracks you predicted correctly overall were: Tour London Loop DS Peach Gardens Tour Los Angeles Laps Wii Mushroom Gorge DS Waluigi Pinball Tour Berlin Byways Wii Maple Treeway Tour Vancouver Velocity Tour New York Minute GBA Sunset Wilds Wii DK Summit Tour Sydney Sprint N64 Kalimari Desert Wii Koopa Cape 3DS Rock Rock Mountain 3DS Rainbow Road The other 4 I could see coming but may have a chance of not appearing as well are Vanilla Lake 1/2 although I could see Bowser’s Castle 3 instead, Daisy Cruiser, Mushroom Bridge although it could also be Mushroom City, and Dino Dino Jungle although I could also see it being DK Mountain. Haven’t really checked your other prediction videos but you did say you included Riverside Park and such although I’m only counting your original first prediction video after the Wave 1 launch.

R.O.B. is the character equivalent of “DS Delfino Square”. Neither are in Tour but are highly anticipated in the Mario Kart fan base by unrealistic standards and expectations.

The characters that I would love see return are Pauline, Petey Piranha, Funky Kong, Kamek, and I don't think that anyone is talking this last one but I would love to see R.O.B. return to the series.

I think one guest character will be in wave 6. Because the bottom line have inklings, link from Legend of Zelda, animal Crossing characters and Mii/Amiibo

Pety Piranha will definitely be in there because of Piranha Plant Cove, a nitro Tour track that hasn't made it to 8 Deluxe yet. Personally I think it'll be Diddy, Pauline, Petey, then the last two spots are between Funky, Dixie, Nabbit, and Kamek. I'd love to see Hammer Bro but don't think he'd get in. Could be one character as a big surprise like King K. Rool or even Zelda to promote Tears of the Kingdom.

I pretty much agree with the full prediction, but I feel as though Petey has a higher chance than Kamek, as cool as he’d be. Birdo ties pretty well with Yoshi’s Island, and we’re probably going to get Piranha Plant Cove. I’m also mainly saying this because I really want Petey, and will instantly main him upon his arrival. When it comes to ROB, I’d be so shocked and happy with it, but I still see us only getting Tour characters, so maybe King Bob-Omb, Dixie Kong, or having both Kamek AND Petey, I have no clue really

I think Petey is very likely due to Piranha Plant Cove being a new track in Tour and will certainly appear in the DLC. Also some of the characters would fit with the track theme like how Birdo is usually associated with Yoshi.

To be honest, I think it could go like this. Birdo, Diddy Kong, Petey Piranha, Paratroopa, Kamek and Pauline. With Paratroopa, we could get the entire Double Dash roster in the game. Plus, Paratroopa’s last appearance was Double Dash and an unused icon for them appears in Mario Kart Wii which they were originally going to be playable. As for the rest, it’s pretty obvious.

Paratroopa isn’t in Tour so I doubt he’ll return, instead Funky or Dixie Kong will return and I think instead of Kamek we’ll get Chargin Chuck as he is associated with Wave 5’s LA Laps, whereas Kamek has no more tracks coming associated with him (unless he is released as advertisement for the Mario Movie, but unlikely).

@@TheHatGuy1500 That doesn't really matter at all though, as it's clear that characters are releasing with tracks associated with them, and unless Kamek is released as cross-promotion for the Mario Movie, he is unlikely to debut in 8 Deluxe, but he could debut in Mario Kart 9

The last two characters you mentioned for DLC will probably be different, probably some of the cool characters you left out like King Bob-omb or Petey Pirahna. Also, please don't set us up like that at the end next time. It kinda pissed me off.

@@bitstimandwesker8896 not entirely true, according to the prefix leak there are supposed to be 3 new tracks in wave six. That's not gonna happen so there are 2 unknown prefixes from that original leak and Nintendo could have still been deciding on what to include. So ya this list is impossible, but there is a good chance airship fortress and maybe another 64 track show up

Wave 4 was so so much worse than wave 3. While the graphics are almost base game, the gameplay is awful. Buggy half pipes, completely different layouts in GBA courses, underwhelming returns like Mario circuit (2 OF THEM!), and the fact that the whole dlc is just recycled Tour courses.

The only difference in Riverside Park’s layout is the removal of the big u-turn which is fine enough since we got Ptooies carrying items now. The buggy half pipes also make DK Summit very much fun, and we only got 1 Mario Circuit this wave and it’s a good one.
