X-Acto actually owns the Boston Bruin now and they do still make the ks version of that pencil sharpener which is the one that is mounted with screws. They do have a modern vacuum pencil sharpener but it only has one cutter blade. The cutter blade assembly is still metal but the rest of the pencil sharpener is plastic. Play KS model that screws into the wall of a desk still has double cutters.

I use KUM metal sharpeners - a long point for pencils and 2mm for mech. It is cheap and leave super sharp point. I have not used charcoal

Have a Boston hand crank from my childhood. The only sharpener which gives me a long but durable point on my Prismacolors and no breakage. So glad I hung on to it.

Nice video. I sharpen with knife and breaks alot.in the end it worn out two of my charcaol. I didnot know they could be dropped. Wasnot my fault then ^^

Have you tried using a craft knife like an Xacto to sharpen charcoal pencils?

I have. I really struggle with an Xacto or a sharpie knife. Maybe I need to practice the technique more🤪
