This is the "only" channel in KZbin that does this sort of reviews. Love your contents. I think you should also add power characteristics(ripple, noise, load characteristics) in every video.

Due to the video time limit, we divided the video into teardown/review, and we will test some very important chargers, including ripple, noise, load characteristics.

Pretty nice, especially the teardown. Still, you've got the thing open and no word on the capacity of the cells or even a charge test.

Wow! Thank you for showing me all that detail for this powerbank! This gives me hope for being able to repair mine, because I think I have a failing battery in mine and I'm thinking about replacing it. Are you able to send a close up picture of the batteries including their voltages and model numbers? I want to make sure I am actually able to find replacement parts in my area first
@mrrkrr2 жыл бұрын
I had this power bank and loved it for ~4 months but then one of the chips inside failed and it stayed a constant ~50C and would rapidly discharge itself even with nothing plugged in. Baseus support refused to replace it under warranty despite me sending them many pictures and videos. Buyer beware!
@dimensionfive17802 жыл бұрын
Same problem with my 10.000mah 20w baseus powerbank, could only charge half a 5400mah phone since day 1. No warranty by baseus; no customer service. Many people complained about same problem.

This is why I stick to Anker. I know this kind of bs will happen.

@@HatslaveforGod My anker became swollen after 2 years of usage. Meaning small risk of explosion. Also anker doesn't use Qualcom Quickcharge so not compatible with my gear. But for iphone and certain android brands they are probably good.

I have this problem too when there is a cable plugged into the unit. Slowly discharges without a devise to charge. Seems to stop when core is removed. Is there a way to fix this?
@fuleo Жыл бұрын
@@aitch8428 Something I did seem to improve the situtation, I unplugged all cables, and then turn on the power bank (switch on top). Once I see the numbern on the display, I pressed and hold the power button again until I see the number disappears. This seems to reset the electrical circuit, and I no longer have the self-discharging problem. Though I need to do this again few days after. Probably a bug that needs fixing.

Thanks for making this video for us. Like others have said in the comments, this powerbank is indeed a pieceo junk. Mine was not even used. Just let it sit in a drawer for a couple of months and now it is dead. It cannot be recharged or turned on. When plugged in the LCD shows it is charging, but no power goes in. As soon as unplugged it is dead and cannot turn on. I wonder if I open it up if there is a way to reset the controller or something. But I don't really have time for that. So yeah money wasted!!

After tearing it down, I measured each individual cell. Out of the 4 cells, 3 were at 3.8v, but one is at 0.7v. I think this is the issue that caused the BMS to shutdown the whole pack maybe? Is there any way to fix this? I literally never used this powerbank, just left it for a few months and now it's like this...
@exee1 Жыл бұрын
@@stage666 You're going to have to take out and isolate that one dead cell and try to revive it by putting in tiny charge. Be forewarned this is dangerous to do, as in it may catch fire. This is why you want to put in a very small charge (how much I don't know, research it). Having said this, this is why your BMS stopped the charge, it is not safe. Or maybe contact the seller and or see if you source one cell pack and replace it (make sure to charge it to the same voltage as the others, they have to be identical in capacity and type as well, all completely identical).

it's 12,000 mah output @ 5V but 20,000 mah cell capacity @ 3.7V ... so it's 20,000 in the sense in which most people understand mah but ultimately it's the watt hours that matter anyway. this charger was tested at 60 watt hours output. by comparison anker 737 has 70 watt hours output but costs almost double. i think this Baseus is an amazing value but i still want the Anker LOL.
