What is the data transfer speed of the device?

I purchased this model and I’m really enjoying it so far. It has several functions that I don’t exactly know how to interpret. I am no electronics expert, just an enthusiast Who bought a really cool USB-C tester. Could you do more videos that go in depth regarding some of the functions, and how we would interpret them? For example: What is a standard the VBus ripple? What is the acceptable range and why it would be important. What is a normal cable resistance value? What is the acceptable range for it? There are several videos that I have seen on these topics and some of them have conflicting info. In my opinion, explaining how to interpret the data and what to look out for in a video from the makers of the tester would be a great resource.

the back button doesn't rotate my screen on mine. I have the latest 1.8.7 software. (Edit: Okay, just updated to 1.8.8!) That would be so cool, because during my videos, i'm constantly unplugging and replugging. and then having to get the rotation back to normal where it's easily viewable and not sideways or upside down. Other than that, this is the best damn tester on the market. I love it!!!

Hi sir! This could be because you have turned on the "Auto-rotate screen" function in the settings, which will automatically disable the button‘s rotation control.

@@ChargerLAB oh my gosh!! Thank you so freaking much. I will definitely be changing that. Will make recording videos much easier than picking up the whole device and rotating it constantly while filming. I can just press the button!! Haha

I've been using KM003C for about a year. The connector seems to be weak like KM002C. The situation is as follows. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWS0qZ2baa-bkJo

I mainly wnat to use my POWER-Z KM003C to validate the ports of chargers (and maybe also cables) I purchase. Some are very expensive and have big claims. But the only way I've been able to someone test them is to have my Dell XPS drain in power as much as it can so I can test the max power draw. But even at that my XPS 17 only draws about 82 watts. (I'm using 240 watt rated cables) I have chargers that should be able to charge at 140 watts. (single port). How can I use my POWER-Z KM003C to validate that?
@ChargerLAB
@ChargerLAB Ай бұрын
You can use either a device that actually supports 140W input or an electronic load to do the job.

@@ChargerLAB Can you please give me some details how to use electric load with my POWER-Z KM003C? If I use a DC Electric Load Tester, how can I hooked that up to pull 140 watts with USB-C?

Release CC pull-down resistor, it'll shut down after 5 seconds. Keep CC pull-down resistor, it'll enter the charging protocol page.

3:11 So I understand, if I want to examine the charging protocols supplied by a laptop, I can plug the "Port 1. Standard USB-C Male (Plug)" into the laptop port... but then I should not leave anything plugged into "Port 2. Standard USB-C Female (Receptacle)" as anything there will receive the charging voltages demanded. Correct? And then it is vice-versa as shown in the video... if I examine a charging cable plugged into "Port 2", then I shall not attach anything to "Port 1". And the HID, it is always safe and I will not damage anything plugged in there during the scanning. Do I understand this correctly?

Your laptop if having somehow DP power OUTPUT, then yes, you can use the male/female connect to your laptop with nothing else. This is NOT-NORMAL usage. Else, NORMAL usage is to check how your laptop charges up. Then you plug the cable from the power brick into the female port. Then male port of the KM-003C into the laptop, now the meter with show you numbers. Another NORMAL usage is to check if each different power brick has their advertised specs (and actually can do the specs), then you plug the power brick into the KM-003C male/female main port, the HID port will need a c-c or a-c cable plugged in, to power the Power-Z itself. Then at this state, you can use the KM-003C to detect all power output mode for the brick itself. Note: if using a C to C cable, then DO NOT leave anything on the main male usb-c when do detecting. And also, the cable itself have to have higher specs than the bricks, or the test will only detect to the limit of the cable. Editted: yes, the HID port is for power up/keep the km-003c alive doing testing when there is no client (getting charged) device plugged in. And also, obviously, if not, show the KM-00x to the computer as an HID device Sauce: I have both the KM-002 and the KM-003

@@StooStranger Thank you! Yes, my Apple MacBook Pro has four USB-C ports. All four of them provide PD for peripherals. PD 3.0 (7W) and DCP are detected. Interestingly, when I plug in my MagSafe peripheral, it receives PD3.0 12W though. I guess the detection is an inexact science.
