Charging a Marker Word Example | Pupstanding Academy

A quick example of charging a marker word for dog training.
Have a small handful of food treats.
Say "yes!" (or whatever marker word you are using), and immediately give your dog a treat.
Repeat until you're out of treats.
Do this a couple times a day for one to two days.
You don't need to ask your dog to do anything at this stage! You're simply creating a strong association that the word = treat.
