You've got to coach your mind to accept the FACT that Jesus has defeated every single problem! Problems are illusions (in view of the victory of the cross) and every single perceived problem occurs within the context of this changed world order. You have resurrection power inside of you. It's only a problem because you THINK it's a problem. You can raise the dead for God's sake! There are no more problems. None! Now you can be thankful! Stay blessed X

That's so NOT what the New Testament says. But you go ahead and preach it and put it into practice. You'll last a while if you're strong. No, problems WILL come. Tests will come. Suffering is of crucial importance (pun on crucial intended). How else are we to be transformed into HIS likeness? All salvation can be seen as containing two components: 1. substitution--He took our place on the cross, and we take His place in heaven. There is a strong legal or "forensic" element here. This idea is summarized well by this verse: "He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him." 2. identification--we were crucified IN him. It was our sins that (and thereby we who) were crucified, as Jesus himself had no sin. We also experience the cross daily or in more profound life-long experience. He ACTUALLY lives IN us, as individuals, but more importantly in the Church. The culmination of this aspect of salvation is to be able to say with Paul, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." These two elements of salvation are confused and conflated constantly by Charismatics. They speak of one or the other by convenience rather than understanding. This makes for large amounts of hypocrisy on the part of the believer who repeats slogans he heard somewhere and a continually echo-chambering of dogma that becomes a solidified tradition. Word of Faith has been around long enough for its fault-lines to be rather clearly identified. So why repeat this stuff when the scripture is not silent? We have "a word of prophecy more sure."

We don't need to magnify that which is infinitely magnificent already. Rather, as the Christmas carol enjoins, "let every heart prepare him room." This expansion of the heart is what is really meant when preachers talk this way. Or else they simply mean to praise Him. Why praise works and why the Lord accepts it is somewhat of a mystery. Again, it's likely for our benefit really and not His.
