Minior has shields down when it’s below half HP, while shields up happens when it’s above half HP. It would be impossible, and their stats are basically the same anyways, so there’s no point.

Charizard Y is insane with heat blast and solar beam add some air slash for flinch stab and dragon pulse just for fun. Charizard X has cool design but I like Y way better he is more fun to use.

I gotta say: even though this is an older form fight, it's... I feel like Mega Charizard Y finally got poetic justice here. Because of how it was pretty much curbstomped in the anime. I understand that Drought is an ability that's a double-edged sword, in a way, but at the same time I feel like Trevor didn't use Mega Charizard Y to its fullest potential. Unlike Alain, who knows how to truly utilize Mega Charizard X's abilities to the fullest. And while I'm more of a Mega Charizard X person, myself, I've always felt that Mega Charizard Y is underappreciated and was cheated out of that win because of an incompetent trainer. 10/10 for this form fight. Great job!

For me, it’s Y. Out of the Gen 6 games, the first one I played was Y and while breeding Charmanders, I hatched a Shiny, Modest Charmander. Naturally, it found a comfortable spot on my team and it became one of the stars. As soon as I could Mega Evolve, I had is as my permanent Mega.

Although only one Charizard is typed as a dragon, it was the original based on the western dragon. I'd chosen Charmander as my first starter, so the normal one holds a place in my heart (though Arcanine is my favorite fire-type)

I love Y's competitive viability... although Wolfe Glick did use X recently to good effect, but Y has a superior design. I love how X looks. But Y is just a BEAAAAAST. It was the first non legendary I got to level 100. I like how it looks as well. I can go through The Elite 4, with it and 5 legends and not fail.
