@@The_Champagne_Socialist_is she still arrested? Or was she released after the case was over. Like a slap on the wrist is not justice because he still could go to jail for a year potentially on charges they normally say don’t even make it to court, but because of the high profile case it was the DA wanted to get some extra scooby snacks. Just like the Tory Lanez case. They had the driver come to the courthouse and he got turned away because the DA was trying to rush the case. His statement alone from that night would’ve potentially only got Tory maybe a fine. Not 10yrs in jail. That’s the only guy in the car who wasn’t drunk that could remember everything. Reading his statement, Kelsey would’ve went to jail. Put him up on the stand first and Kelsey probably wouldn’t have been able to plead the fifth because she’s already caught. Megan would owe him an apology, although I know she knows who actually shot her, she’s just lying at this point because you have to continue a lie once you start going. How was this man supposed to call the police when the lady was assaulting him an had his phone. If she was a man an he did the reverse this would’ve been worse it’s like I’m the victim even when I’m not the victim.

The crazy part is she was charged with assault and criminal mischief and then fled the country, but the DA dropped the charges so they could go after Jonathan Majors. In the original video that was leaked that everyone saw before this court date they are images of her hitting her head on the DJ table. Plus there was no blood found in the car there was no blood on her friend there was no blood on her clothes but body cam footage of the police show that was blood on the comforter. And they had clear video footage of her after the incident. What was also presented in court what photos of the night out with the girl Chloe which had close up images of jabari's hand with no injury. And what's even crazier in the state of New York you are allowed to use reasonable force when someone takes your property such as cell phone purses backpacks Etc but let's get to the point of the reason why he was arrested she claimed that he strangled her or choked her but doctor said nobody touched you or put a hand on you. So she retracted the statement. And change it to he twisted my arm and beat me in the head which the doctor said that was a lie also. The injuries do not match up with her claims.

Charlamagne MOST (black folks) know exactly what JM meant when he said what he said about representing the culture and doing great things. Our black celebrities don't have the room to make mistakes, they get the backlash from both Black and white and in this new social media Era, it seems many of our black people can be brutal against our own when they make mistakes. Everything JM said in them text and voice recording is exactly what happened to him. What we need to pay attention to is WHY was she recording him in the first place... that chick was on a mission. On another note: JM did way more than 2 movies, so get it together Charlamagne, (whether you agree or not), you have a platform to feed correct information to your people/followers.

@@freddyfaerie3499 no he was charged with 4 counts, convicted on two, acquitted on the two most major ones. Mind you, when he was arrested and the DA originally charged him with SEVEN counts and three were dismissed, so that left the four he went to trial on. So in the end he was acquitted of the main charges, five of them, three dropped before trial and two acquitted by the jury, but found guilty of the two least offensive charges, one of unintentional reckless harm, which would be no different than say if you were a woman yanking back your purse from being stolen (since Majors phone was being stolen) and the thief broke his finger on the process (lol), and the other which is not even a criminal offense as it is a harassment violation which doesn't even stay on one's record; no worse than getting a parking ticket or a noise pollution ticket. The end result is the same either way though it's guilt by association and guilt by court of public opinion. There is 99.99% zero jail time for the former charge and obviously 100% zero jail time for the latter. All they have to hear is 'he was found guilty' and that's all that was needed for him to be fired and dropped from multiple deals.

After calling his agent, he calls 911 at 11:10. Based on cell phone records, his ex texted her friend at 11:07. I hate that the media is rail roading this guys life and acting like he’s this dangerous and violent criminal when he did everything he could to remove himself from this situation. the racial component of this situation is actually more direct than they’re giving credit for bc read the way the police called that night handled the situation -- they literally said out loud they couldn’t believe his place was his bc he was black and they didn’t recognize him - this is the same police that took statements from the girl and coerced her into saying he abused her (which she later recanted and then un-recanted for court smh)

Let me educate you on that before you go and continue to spread this stupid rumor. Angela bassett's husband Courtney B whatever the hell is an idiot. Lovecraft country was only supposed to get one season. It was not a black film or a black writer the book was actually written by a white dude named Matt Ruff who had a bad habit in his earlier career to write one-off books that basically we're left open if ever he decided to continue a story. 90% of the black community doesn't even know that the book exists. There was no cancellation it was never meant to have a second season the fact they gave it a series and not just make it a 2-hour movie was an awesome thing.

I agree that most people neglect critical thinking in favor of confirmation bias. So let's just explain every negative thing that happens to black men away by citing "Racism" that nobody ever has to define, nobody ever has to prove. It's an amorphous, amoeba glob of COPE that can never be defined and therefore used as a explanation for all the ills facing black men. People just feel comfortable staying in that victim-nook. At least they are being consistent. From the Rolling Stone hit piece, the rumors at Yale, and throughout this March incident the story on Majors has been that he is violent and intimidating. The rumors NEVER get substantiated with actual individuals who can speak on actual incidents of violence and intimidation. What this tells me is that every individual case is not a good look for the accuser as well. Grace Jabbari, for example, was not the "ideal victim" (she's a drunk and is also clearly manipulative). My bet is that all the other people who have beef with Majors have issues that they don't want to put out, but they wish they could get him nonetheless. If any of us were continually scrutinized for fault and treated guilty until proven innocent we would all be "criminals"

Charlemagne is trying but he still needs to do a deeper dive . He needs to talk about what actually happened in the trial so people know Jon WILL appeal and he WILL win. Everything that was shown in court was actually working AGAINST his accuser . I followed the case closely . Judge had to stop audience from LAUGHING at GRACES CONTRADICTORY testimony . No bs. Her witnesses FLIPPED on her ..said Jon is innocent in court . The sole witness (the driver) said in court Jon is innocent . So the media really tried to railroad Jon . Also it’s more about men vs women in a hyper feminist bias justice system and society . The race thing is a smoke screen to keep half of society ignorant . @@bizzybrown5701 the text messages while heavily redacted showed a man being fearful of his girl going to the hospital. With that in their minds of an old case, they see him lifting her up and putting her in the vehicle as him being controlling and using his known strength to force her in the vehicle. Again not fair but with alleged prior abuse in mind it skews the rest of the facts. I don't even think Disney/Marvel dropped him bcuz the Kang storyline wasn't performing well. The MCU phase 4/5 does suck, but Jonathan Majors and the Kang story was one of the redeeming qualities of it all; his performance as Kang & all his variants was AMAZING, and the way Loki Season 2 went, it looked like the Kang storyline was really gearing up to be something special. I think Disney dropped him quick (and that they were gonna drop him either way) because they just didn't want to deal with the P.R. of it all, since Majors' image was already tarnished at that point; Disney just waited for the verdict so they can avoid a P.R. backlash like they got when they fired Johnny Depp off of allegations, only for his trial to reveal he was the actual victim & Amber Heard was the antagonist. Also, sidenote: Majors did more than Creed & Marvel; he also killed it in "Lovecraft Country", and I think he was making a significant climb in projects toward black media.

Brian Buckmire legal contributor on ABC News who was at the trial says: "What I didn't like about this defense is they didn't focus on what is called Penal Law 3525, is the ability to use force to stop a larceny or theft or criminal mischief -- the damage to your property. ... The law says you're allowed to use force to take your property back. The law doesn't say, well, your girlfriend is allowed to take your cellphone because she is allowed to check for infidelity. The law doesn't say, well, ... I'm allowed to take my wife's property because I need to check it for this or that. No. To me this broke down to Grace Yabari stealing property and Johnathan Majors using force -- now the question is, is it appropriate force? -- to take back his property. But that seems to be an argument that was missed completely in this trial. I'm not sure quite why. For the most part, they really focussed on: Can you believe that these injuries actually occurred in that vehicle, when Grace Yabari then went off drinking with these new friends that she saw, that she supposedly bumped into a wall, supposedly bounced her head off in the DJ booth, was smoking a cigarette. Was her finger really broken? Was her ear really scratched? That's where this case really focused. It didn't focus on is any person justified of using force to take back their property?" Kang, the conqueror is convoluted in the comics, so there’s not much that can be done about that. I really hope Disney rethinks dropping him. He has done an amazing job as Kang.

Actually if someone takes your property, you ARE LEGALLY allowed to get it back with force. Dude with the hat is completely wrong.
