Because adultery is a locked gate. Charles opened that gate and did not close it. Allowing Diana to walk through as well. Charles' choices were his own. So were Diana's. Unfortunately, his highness' did not simply affect him. It affected his family, too. And it affected Lady Diana in a really bad way. And because Charles opened that gate and did not close it, everybody else can enter as well. Meaning, he basically approved adultery for the entire world of people who look up to the royal family. This statement does not just apply to this situation, but to everything that people who are looked up to do. Choices are tricky things. Opened doors are, too, for that matter.

The Actress for Camilla is far to attractive. The bracelet, cufflinks wedding gift with intertwined CC's, her pictures did falll out of his briefcase on their honeymoon...which was taken with his parents. He brought a stack of books, easel and ignored Diana who chatted with the staff. Camilla did invite Diana to lunch and told her what Charles liked/disliked. Asked questions to determine activities Diana didn't like so she could spend time with Charles when Diana wasn't there. I have no doubt Charles & Camilla conspired how they could still carry on their affair.

right, my dad never had a mother figure because she died when he was like 7 months old and his dad abandoned him for a mistress and he was raised by his grandmother till he turned 7 and she also died and then his dad finally took him in with his other family so my dad was now the outcast and never shown any affection and he finally married my mom but he cheated on her and till this day although he is a good father i’m able to connect with my mom on an emotional level but my dad just can’t express his emotions probably bcz of his childhood.

The real Camilla knew exactly what she was doing when it came to the men in her life. She married Andrew because he was rich & had a flourishing distinguished military career. She knew Charles was obsessed with her so she kept him on a line as backup & Charles was her one true link to the immediate Royal circle. That lunch invite Camilla gave to Diana was to "check her out". Why would a woman who happily ran off to marry another man be so concerned about the woman her "ex-lover" will be marrying. Because she never had any plans of letting Charles go. Hence why even after Camilla got married she still kept the line of communication open with Charles. And possibly encouraged his attitude towards Diana. In the end Camilla got what she wanted.
