First of all Charles Barkley, thank you for still continually being part 76ers organization, in spite of any differences that may have occurred and treated when you were traded. It's definitely shows the genuineness that you possess as a player who played the game in this city. It also shows you're a high level of maturity and how you handle every situation professionally and you're still here in other ways. Let this be an example and I've sincerely hope Ben Simmons has watched this podcast, because you are definitely " A Class Act" Charles Barkley, and Ben Simmons could definitely learn something from listening to alot of the things that Charles Barkley has elaborated on. Regardless of what has transpired ( Past Tense) that has brought this very sad situation between Ben Simmons and the 76ers Organization, to not conduct Oneself professionally, in order to achieve any desired Attempts, WISDOM dictates that one should do All things "In Decency And In Order", which truly Involves a great level of "Maturity. To come back to Philadelphia with the attempt of rejoining with the team, and not be mature enough to make contact with any of the players, the first question of curiosity is what did the team as your whole do to him? As long as he played for the 76 organization where is the camaraderie or establishment of some type of friendship with someone on the team, and not to speak to anyone makes you think that he was faking a game and never really cared about anyone. That to me confirms his only reason for coming back was because the finances and the lack of getting dude money that he was not willing to want to lose because I'm not showing up. To not be mature enough as a professional NBA player that's getting millions of dollars the Class Act would be to at least make some type of public appearance and to someone Express himself. Do not be willing to do anything they are words that one would replace which shows no care or respect for a city that had high hopes and aspirations for Ben Simmons with love. 🤔

Although I think he has a fairly high basketball IQ, his attitude and competitive drive is as bad as any "all-star" to ever exist in NBA history. Good enough is basically his mantra. At 6’10” Ben has never had to shoot from the perimeter - never learned to take the jumper or make the free throw. Someone needs to get Ben aside and give him a reality check as to this deficiency and work thru how to overcome them. It should have been addressed as he grew up and in the early years within the NBA but now it is constraining Ben and any team he is on!

Part of the issue was that there was a waiting period where Ben couldn't practice with the team because of COVID. Ben Simmons should apologize to his teammates. Ben had a tantrum last season ending loss. Instead of owning he deflected and wanted out. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if he decided to stay and play since there’s no one to blame but himself. If he’s finally ready to listen to his coaches and play team basketball, doing what’s uncomfortable to help his team win, then he will be happy. If he wants to keep pretending it’s his surroundings that’s causing his problems then he will go to another team and have to fix the same problems. Sixers have three shooters plus the best center in the league. There’s no better situation than that. Four shooters aren’t necessarily better if they aren’t good. Plus you will be something like the rockets playing small ball which won’t win much. Ben needs to man up and work on his shortcomings so that he’s not a liability for any team he plays. The league has his krytonite. Put on the foul line and watch him crumble to nothing. Secrets out. It’s just a matter of time before he’s irrelevant if he refuses to improve offensively.

The Ben Simmons situation is the Philly front office’s fault AND Ben Simmons’ fault. Philly’s front office/scout department either didn’t do their homework on this guy or did and ignored it. Simmons displayed the same kind of petulant, arrogant and entitled attitude at LSU. He was always going to be a guy that wanted max money, but would not put in max effort to get better from year to year. And the 76ers will never get full value back for a Simmons trade. This is a cautionary tale that other teams would do well to pay close attention to.

Why is John reporting on 1 report about Ben not speaking when it was already reported he can’t be around the players until Friday which is today due to the Covid protocol and that he was only able to be around and practice with the assist coaching until the protocol is done Friday and he should know that because that’s what the reports were and he is going off of that 1 report that came from unknown sources.

The whole idea Charles had about calling a team meeting and Embiid saying "I'm the best player and this is my team! And we want you Ben, but we don't need you! We're gonna win with me!" is absolutely ridiculous. That will never happen and you gotta have the biggest ego of all time to do something like that and show up Ben Simmons in front of the entire organization. Toxic masculinity won't solve anything.
