It's why I refuse to sing. I'd rip my still beating heart out to show you the pain it feels and, does to itself then, I'd probably off myself. Just the power I feel from him singing hits, so, fucking, hard. The gutteral scream gets me every time. It sums up how I feel when I hear these songs and feel my own pain resurface.

My autistic 6 yrs old son still doesn’t speak but he very clearly sings the chorus of this song perfectly enunciating each syllable. This is the only song he sings along with. This song allowed me to hear my son say words for the first time. He doesn’t call me “dad.” He doesn’t call my wife “mama.” We still haven’t heard the words “I love you mom and dad.” But hearing him sing along to this song gives me hope that he will start speaking soon. I will forever remember my son’s first words, “I’m going through changes!”

My sweet son is now 18 years old and has autism. It's been a hard road. I know exactly where you're coming from. Just remember he has a disability which makes even the simplest of speech very difficult for him. I won't BS you. It's hard on the heart not to be able to hear your son say dad or I love you. I know. But I'll say this ..If he could say I love you mom and dad 100 times in a row he most def would. But he just cant. Drew's 18 now and he has told me this in so many words. So Ive come to peace with it. He is so much more to me than words will ever say. He is a gift. He has taught me so many things about myself. I am greatful. I know he and your son can't talk much ..but Cherish his soul. And Stay strong my brother. For real. For him. And remember there are so many of us parents going thru this with you. You're not alone. Peace

"Ladies and gentlemans, brothers and sisters, may ever who you are, if you have a loss one or ever loss, if you have mama or a papa and your had your arguments and you're went away and never said i'am sorry. brothers and sisters, it's later then we think you better go back to your mama and hug her and let her know "mama i love you",and pap, he did the best he can for you. I never knew my father, my mom was my mama and my father but if you gotta a father out there that loves you, Oh! you've got the greatest in your heart. For over a decade I didn’t speak with my father because I couldn’t understand why he was the way he was. I carried around that anger and resentment just as I carry his name, and it did nothing but make me feel sad and alone. My father and I have since reconnected and it’s nice to know that he feels the light of my love as an elderly man. Rest in peace Charles and thank you, brother.

I'm not crying, you're crying! Die hard metal fan here, big fan of Oz & Sabbath, and much in the same way Cash turned "Hurt" into a better song, Charles made this song into what "should have been". Knowing that he did this song because of the loss of his mother, and that he originally didn't want to do it, beings it to a whole new level. ❤️ RIP Mr. Bradley ❤️

Im doing a tribute page for this man as a part of my certifications for web development. I was in the process of pulling the code to attach this performance to the page and my god, I had to stop for a minute and hear this performance through. Had me pulling tears at the end and texting my loved ones. Bless this man and the music he gave us!

He is an example for me. When i'am afraid of changes i came back here to don't forget to change before changes come.
