A shadowy figure approached a terrified and alarmed Scrooge in the dead of night. The ghost slowly made his way across the room towards him as he stood shaking holding nothing but a lantern. As it approached the ghost slowly pointed a finger towards him, then held the finger in the air pointing upwards. The ghost slowly but clearly uttered the words with his finger still pointing in the air, “Any double vision?”

When you talked about the Muppet Movie with Michael Caine, I felt the same: that was the second adaptation I saw of A Christmas Carol (the first one being a Cartoon) and I felt the same about the Ghost of Christmas Future. I cant wait to rewatch the movie this year with the other classics (Little Lord Fontleroy, Empress Sisi, Dinner for one). I need to relistend and rewatch your video because I fell asleep 😅 Being a teacher drains one in the evening 😅

Muppet's Christmas Carol is the definitive adaptation in my opinion. The Ghost of Christmas Future was terrific.

There was a good film on last Christmas eve about the writing of A Christmas Carol. Interesting. Of course Dickens is the reason we think of a snowy Christmas. Apparently because there was a spat of cold Christmasses in his early adulthood. I miss reading stories to my daughter.. Too old now. 😭

I'd argue you're never too old to read a story to someone. Last Christmas when I was reading my nephew a story, it became a family thing
