Please do more talks on this! My issues started with the vaccine in 2021 for the next 2 years I went steadily down hill. Have frequent “sinus infections headaches “ that wouldn’t go away with antibiotics. I got COVID in October 2023 and have had a constant migraine that won’t go away. Very cognitive impaired, had to quit working. Waiting to try Botox in January.

2:31 I always liked how you actually spend time looking into the patients for possible problems. My doctors just look in each ear for like two seconds.

As someone with sensory processing disorder whose proprioception is effected as a result this explains a lot about why I’m so accident prone. I have trouble recognizing where my feet are in space when I can’t easily see them and that puts me at greater risk of tripping and falling and injuring myself.
@starfishgurl1984Күн бұрын
Yeah, as someone with hereditary joint problems it’s not a matter of “if” but “when” I have knee replacements unfortunately, and working retail it will definitely happen much sooner for me, but I’m grateful they exist as options to keep me moving, though I wish I had regular knees and never had to worry about it, lol.

Mine was done so hard that my hand is still cold at the end of the day and I have a clotting disorder so I’ve been nervous about it all day. I told her it hurt. She could see there was no color in my hand and she still did it.

Why is it that the respiratory part of physical exams always feels like it's a much faster rhythm than my natural breathing cycle?
@DrJamesGillКүн бұрын
Probably as that is YOUR breathing cycle, whereas for the auscultation, it is the doctor changing the breathing pattern by asking for deep breaths to listen to the breathe sound

What about short bursts throughout the day? For example, I do marching steps where I raise my knees as high as my chest. I can only do about 30 of these at a time, but I do them 6-10 times a day. I do notice a drop in my blood pressure, but I have been pretty sedentary for years, so even just doing dishes can lower my BP in the short term.

Great video! Now being treated for stage 2 CHF causing SOB. I was surprised my cardiologist said she would like to see me a year from now. With known aortic artery dilatation, aortic calcification; and, my frequent complaint of SOB upon minimal exertion I decided to look for another cardiologist who will see me at least every 6 months. Why? Because I feel I need to be monitored more frequently need to know if I should wait for my symptoms to get worse before I undergoing surgery I hope to find one who will have manners as good as yours and will become attuned to my age 77 heart sounds. And that he or she will move their stethoscope around my chest and neck as you described. And finally to listen for these various sounds astutely as you so brilliantly demonstrated. Cheers

Guys don't listen to what this man is telling you, if you wanna know what post nut clarity is read Schopenhauer..(he called it the "devil's laughter") read what he has to say about it and your eyes will be opened.

As an engineer I think of the Vestibular system as the bodies coordinate system with regards to its own centre of mass, think of a gyroscope. The Propiocetion system is the bodies coordinate system with regards to its environment via the limbs.

My foster son is 11 months and ever since he started eating bigger pieces of food, I've been nervous about choking. This is super helpful! He was eating some cooked carrots the other day and when I changed his diaper (BM), there was a full undigested piece of carrot. Is that normal?
