I respect Dak Prescott, he’s a really good qb. But man ppl forget things fast over the offseason. Dak threw 2 picks, 1 being a pick 6 in the playoffs. Dak couldn’t get to 20 points against the niners 2 playoffs ago, & 3 playoffs ago Dak misjudged the amount of time on the clock and ended the play as time was expiring and they lost to the niners. Dak is a sensational regular season qb. He’s great in the playoffs against Tampa who was below .500. But Dak is Kirk cousins w a star on his helmet. When the competition level rises(playoffs) his level of play falls, that is a fact. So sure you can keep breaking the bank for him if you wanna stay relevant and have gawdy numbers but you’re not paying him to seriously contend for a Super Bowl

Everyone talks about the Niners 3 game skid and points to Deebo. What everyone seems to forget is…the Niners lost Deebo, CMC and Trent Williams in Cleveland, in a torrential downpour. So yea, they were looking for BA late in that game. Additionally Brock got a concussion the next week in MN. Just saying. There is a lot more nuance to things than… “Deebo got hurt and they lost”

@@PercyWilliams-d8v Nice sentiment, yet Dallas simply doesn't have the horses to be the physically dominant defense we hope for. They weren't in 2023 against the great teams in the regular season and the Packers in the playoffs. And they did nothing to significantly improve the defense via free agency or in the draft. I think it's quite possible that statistically the Cowboys will be worse in 2024 than they were in 2023. They're playing better teams in 2024 and don't have as many weak/mediocre teams as they had during the 2023 schedule. I hope they'll be better. Don't see it happening though.

The fist SF game was 23-17 with like 9 minutes left in the game. You can't say it was garbage time if it's a 6 point game with over half a quarter left. And you are not actually trying to call a game that was tied twice in the 4th quarter a garbage time game, right? It literally took a last second FG for GB to win that game in 2016.

I’ve said this all along: If you remove Aiyuk from that team their receiver room doesn’t scare anybody because they don’t have another true threat at the position like Aiyuk.. Deebo’s game is in the run game & short passing game, he’s not a downfield threat & tbh the rest of their receivers aren’t proven.. Aiyuk is literally the 1 guy who Purdy trusts to throw to anywhere beyond 10 yards.. teams would literally load up the box knowing SF has a sketchy O-line & attack CMC, Deebo & Kittle because those guys primarily play the short yardage game so you won’t fear them beating you deep, you fear those 3 when it comes to YAC( yards after catch )

Well, Cooper Rush went 5-0 before losing. So it's obvious that they are. Especially compared to the qbs we had in 2020. Because Rush had to resign and fight for his backup job that year. And he eventually got it back between the following off and pre season.

I hated when the niners got rid of Buckner and all niner fans told me it didn't matter. Buckner has been a beast all these years and Kinlaw was nothing. I love my team but some of our fanbase is delusional. We definitely need Aiyuk, or someone comparable. They could have paid Aiyuk instead of giving CMC a raise.

If we didn't trade Buckner we wouldn't have aiyuk it's not as simple as just we didn't pay Buckner and replaced him with kinlaw buck was great but he brought us a pick armstead Jimmy ward first round pick and aiyuk or Buckner it's tough decision we couldn't afford both.

Either way, the worst move ever was trading up for Lance instead of any other position. I thought at the time, use Jimmy for 1 or 2 more years then draft a qb instead.

The issue isn't just the playoff losses its that Dak more consistently plays poorly in big games than he plays well in big games. Having said that I don't thinks its all on Dak a lot is coaching, game planning, in game adjustments sloppy play by many Cowboys players in big games, clock management and horrible situational football. This team seems to lack the heart and desire and preparation that championship teams have. So to me it doesn't really matter if they pay Dak or they trade him the results will likely be the same until there are changes from the top down.

The problem is that Dak wants to be paid like someone who wins conference championships and Super Bowls... and while he's a good QB, he doesn't have the "clutch" gene. It's $$$ that is the problem. This is not a valid argument.... There are currently 5 QBs in the league right now that are being paid more than Dak that do not have the stats, wins or playoff appearances as Dak. The market is what is, so regardless of what one thinks of Dak, a 12 win quarterback is going to demand top dollar.

What teams will trade for Dak? The Raiders? Would the Seahawks do it? Geno could do well in Dallas, but Dallas might want Sam Howell instead. That would leave Seattle in a quandary. They can’t have Dak and Geno on the same roster. The Giants don’t have a QB Dallas would want. He would never go to Carolina because they’re a mess. One more interesting spot might be Tennessee.

This is why Charles Haley (who I repsect a lot) doesnt work behind close doors on these negotiations because Dak has a no trade clause and Dak himself holds all of the cards. Every legendary Cowboy players will say what they want because they have the right to their opinion. The simple solution is very simple. Pay Lamb and Dak this year begore the season starts and pay Micah next offseason so that you open up the cap room for future contracts like say Daron Bland.
