The most difficult part of addiction is coming out of the self denial. I was a fan back in the days of MySpace. You Dave and Hillary have a special gift. As many stadiums as you filled as many accolades as you y'all recieved it took more courage to admit you needed help. There's so many opinions out there, but if you ever doubt what you're doing it (sobriety) for look in the mirror it's for you and you alone. Because when you're good so is your family and community around you. If you stumble it's ok, you may beat yourself up but we're all struggling with something.

Charles Kelley you can do this. I'm so very proud of you, your accomplishments and your commitments. One day at a time my friend. You have a happy ending but let me tell you about my experience as a mother of an alcoholic daughter. My beautiful, 30yo daughter, Ashly died from alcoholism on July 12, 2022. My heart has been ripped from my body and there are so many sleepless nights wanting her back. She leaves behind her fiance and my 3yo grandson. I'm heartbroken. I'm glad that Charles is not Elvis Presley and not dead at 42 like Elvis. Also, I'm really happy that he had an education realization and took a step back about his rough life after 25 as a guess.
